Did anyone else read the article where the Catholic church and the Sicilian Mafia have teamed up to bitch about some news program that uses strippers to attract viewers. Am I the only one who sees a problem with this? This is precisely why I'm not a christian. Lets see here...the church hates a TV show whos biggest crime is that they're really good at giving hard on's and probably get a couple people in the mood to do the nasty. So what do they do to try and get them taken off the air...they team up with the friggin Mafia...whose biggest crime is...well gee take your pick: Rackettering, extortion, murder, prostution, terrorism, and those are the ones we KNOW about. Yeah Pope...I am stunned by your utter genius...NOT!!! Yeah I can see him now.."Pope: Yes...Don Corelone shall be most instrumental in ridding us of such temptuos entertainment. Chior Boy who just got hired: But sir...aren't they murderers and the... Pope: BLASPHEMER...Someone execute him at once!!!"

Um okay ?? so the pope watches way to much tv, of course I thought he didn't watch tv, but you have proven me wrong

Do not confuse the things organised religion does in the name of Christianity with Christianity itself. Many denominations of Christianity lay claim to widespread corruption, including my own - Anglican. I think there are far worse things that have been done in the name of organised religion than a little flirtation with the Mafia. How about the Vatican's full co-operation with the Nazi Party so they wouldn't be bombed in World War Two? How about the innocent lives (both Catholic and Protestant) lost in the name of religion in Northern Ireland? Dammit (ooops, I blasphemed) let's just go right back to the Crusades! Nope, in comparison I think going to bed with the Mafia is an almost saintly act. My question? Which television producer forgot to bribe which Mafia don in order to protect his show? LOL.

I dont knowhow to respond to this

Well... I'm not denying that the catholic church hasn't ever done terrible things before this incident. But to hear your reply makes it sound like they're collabrating with nothing more than a group of pubecent vandals. This is the friggin Mafia...these people deal in terror and fear. They're one step away from the illuminati ferchrissakes. OK...so they aren't driving down the street in tanks and slaying people right and left. As though somehow...its better to die by piano wire than by Panzer Shell. Yeah...collaborating with the Nazis was fucked up...but lets not let that somehow justify whats going on now by going... "oh well it aint genocide so its ok." Why is the Mafia even in this? It aint like anyone's been slandered; no ones being disrespected, no ones making any threats...and I doubt anyone is dicking around with anyones mone. The bottom line is that a vendor is giving the public what they want...to see the natural beauty of a womans body...and a group of thugs see fit to take away that right. You should be quite worried...because what if the US decides to take the same measures over here. "Oh we dont like the lewd content of this site...send Guido to the web masters house and convince them to change their minds." If the Church can rally the Mob to censor the beauty of a woman's body over there...then who's next?

You really believe that in larger sections of the press and entertainment business in the States (Literotica is too small to matter at the moment - thank goodness) that someone isn't paying someone who is paying someone to protect that newspaper/movie production company/whatever from being closed down/burnt down/otherwise economically crippled? It's bizarre that the Mafia and the Pope are in bed together but that's not the issue here. Someone hasn't paid their dues somewhere. Happens in Italy. Happens in Australia. It's first law of business in America. The same thing has been happening right under your nose. Often we don't recognise a problem until we see it in another country. Familiarity=Complacency. CRaZy's law of ethnocentricity.
