So they led with yet another brilliant RINO gambit...

;) ;)

We'll get him to not sign the pledge and then we will eviscerate him! Brilliant!

So Trump turns this into an opportunity to have a big press conference which everyone tuned in to to show the signed pledge and take the opportunity to eviscerate the rest of the field, especially JEB!, who refuses to use the name Bush...

It's like they're being led by Don Knotts.

(For you younger folks, maybe Pee Wee Herman.)

Jeb goes after Donald in Spanish, Donald says, "Speak English", the MSM pontificates on Donald's lack of PC sophistication............and his poll numbers go up. They just aren't getting it.

Ishmael

Nope.

;)

It's the same ol' phenomenon, "I can't believe he's getting any support, nobody I know would ever vote for him!"

But as Trump has proved time and again this campaign, what on first inspection looks like a setback is, in fact, a surprising victory. By signing the loyalty pledge, Trump is giving up very little while exacting a crucial guarantee from the GOP that the party won’t sabotage his candidacy. The truth is that Trump’s vow to bolt for a third-party amounted to an elaborate ruse. According to Richard Winger, the editor of the newsletter Ballot Access News, Trump faced a looming deadline to get on the ballot in critically important voting states. In December, Trump must file paperwork in Ohio and Texas to enter the Republican primary. If he filed as a Republican then he wouldn't be allowed to run in those states as independent. Former Trump adviser Roger Stone, who ran Gary Johnson’s third-party run in 2012, told me that a third party run would have been exceedingly hard for Trump if he tried remaining in the party much longer. “It was a bluff so they didn't keep him off the primary ballot," Stone said. "A third party was never the way to go if he wants to be president." But given Trump's unpredictability, and deep pockets, the GOP bought it. "It was a brilliant business strategy," Stone says.

Get it?

By their own insular and incompetent thinking, they kept him in the party...

I'm seriously getting a kick out of watching all of this. The party elites have joined with the MSM and the dems to proclaim Trump a political neophyte who has no clue, yet he's yanking them all around like puppets on a string. He's violating all of their self-imposed rules with the results ending up being the exact opposite of what they prognosticate.

Begging the question, "If they're so God damned smart, why is he able to do this?" I read the pundits explanation of why this is happening and their opinions range from the simplistic, to the inane, to making me wonder if I just stepped into the Twilight Zone. Could the answer be that they just aren't as smart as they think they are?

Ishmael

Trying to become the "smarter" version of the Democrat Party has paralyzed their ability to think outside of the boundaries established by politically-correct social justice progressivism...

;) ;)

Clearly Trump is not hampered with that handicap.

Jeb! (nobody says the B-word) might just be the best example of this mind-numbing paralysis...

Trump plays George Patton better than George C. Scott. Jeb and the others still don't get that America wants a winner NOT Bruce Jenner.

I've said to before, if you listen to Hitler's political speeches they were always fulla praise for Germans and Germany and lauded all the wonders Germany would accomplish. He never uttered an unkind word to Jews. Germans loved it. Trump does the same.

I answered your observation before you made it.

Is that how you see my statement? I see no mention of Cain. As to your statement, I've being saying that from the jump. Do you need a selfie stick to better pat yourself of the back with?

LMAO So you're a provocateur?

LEM Thought I was looking to the bible?

Saying what from "the jump?"

What you stated in no way resembles what I said.

I'm most definately not a provocateur. You'll find zero evidence to support that claim.

I've no idea what LEM is an acronym for, nor to I get the looking to the Bible reference.

I completely disagree with your assessment of both the MSM and the Dem's thoughts on Trump.

(Insert yeah what head tilt gif here)

What are you on about? Hitler ripped Jews from the start. Did you ever read Mein Kampf? Dude was pathologically obsessed with Jews from the start.

Do you think the "left" or the MSM took Herman Cain's run seriously?

Do you think I did, as far as election anyway?

Not to ignore your analogy. Poor, but an attempt none the less.

Herman had points to make and, it seems that he made an impression. He's still occupying space in your mind anyway. :)

Now.........................Why don't you just ask me if I'm a Trump supporter? Ever thought of that? KISS (Keep It Simple Shithead)

Well, aren't we sensitive.

It's not a analogy, it's history. He's occupying space in my brain because I posses a memory, not to mention I was active in Obama's campaign.

And.......................that's nothing to do with my point. No, I never thought of it.......I couldn't care less.......I never said you were.......sorry if that makes you want to insult/curse at me. :D:kiss:

Trump is proof of the republican leadership complete disconnect from the desires of the party.

The majority does not want the tea party. The republican majority does not want ultra religious white dudes running the show.

Donald is the only way out? :( wtf?

Well, any port in a storm.

Trump's vast appeal is hardly centered among "the tea party" or "ultra religious white dudes"...

...those two groups are much more in tune with either of the Carson/Cruz/Huckabee camps.

No, Trump's attraction is only about one thing and the two causes of that effect:

How screwed-up so many, many people view the nation's shape politically...

...and holding the Democrat Party and the Republican Party fully responsible for that.

It's not Trump the political person campaigning for votes...

...it's Trump's patented in your face, almost fearlessly outspoken character that's winning surprising approval.

Robert Redford, most certainly one of America's most progressive progressives, gets it:

“I’m glad he’s in there because him being the way he is, and saying what he says the way he says it, I think shakes things up and I think that’s very needed,” Redford said in an interview this week.

“Because on the other side it’s so bland, it’s so boring, it’s so empty.”

Redford said the race was looking more “like ‘Looney Tunes’ and not ‘Merrie Melodies.'”

"It’s crazy stuff. It’s like, come on, you guys. You’re making us feel foolish, just having to watch you.”

Trump is simply doing what's totally natural to him, which just happens to be what so many, many people are clamoring for:

Stirring sh!t up...

...because it definitely needs stirred-up badly.

For that reason alone, I'd love to see Trump elected President...

...and then it'd be fun to watch if he could keep walking his stir-up-sh!t talk, instead of caving and conforming like virtually every politician does once in office.

If he could keep walking that talk in office, he has the opportunity to make a real change in this nation (regardless of how any partisan judges his political views)...

...if he folds as most do, the nation will simply be left ravenously still starved.

Many have run as political third Party candidates before...

...but it's hard to remember a candidate who has ever run as literally independent as Trump naturally is.

Personally, my pessimism says The Donald's talk his stronger than is walk...

...in that regard, he is viably no different than any other on either partisan side of the 2016 field - he just talks louder.

But, even wormfood like me can hope that a politician will some day come forth who actually, naturally, walks as he talks...

...that's why I root for Trump at this moment of time.
