Chrono Trigger/Cross Roleplaying Thread

I'm just wondering whether anyone would be interested in a roleplaying thread based on Chrono Trigger/Cross. If you are interested, please post a reply here with any ideas/suggestions/comments that you can think of.
If we do end up doing this, I will be taking the role of either Frog from CT or Glenn from CC.

actually, I had an Idea about that too. It's also a preposition for a new addition to the chrono series I'm submitting to squaresoft. But I'll but it here too.

name; Chrono Paradox!

The year; 1007. Two years after the fall of Guardia. Medina is among the few places not under the iron fist of the Porre army.
A hero well known throughout the land for his couredge, strength, and acomplishments has been reduced to a nurvous bum, biding his time in the medina bar, mourning the loss of his land and his wife......

One day a human walked in to the bar. The fact that he was human seemed strange enough, but there was something about him. He just strolled in calmly, sat down and ordered a drink like there was nothing wrong in the world. On top of that though, he wore the strangest cloths. A brown cowboy hat, a brown tunic and traveling cloak, at his waist was a long, brown whip. The disbundled hero looked at the man in confusion, something in his drunken mind telling him that he should know him.

T....tom.....tome......tum.....TOMA!!!

Toma looked over at the drunk that was standing next to him. "Oh, hey, your chrono, right? I heard you found the rainbow shell. Good for you. Buy me a drink and I'll tell you something interesting!"

Chrono sobered up instantly. Looking at the mystic bartender, he nodded and a mug was quickly forthcoming.

"Ahh... you never change. that's what I like about you. Ok, so here's the news. A new knight has taken over as Queen Leenes bodyguard. Noone knows what happened to that strange frog, but this new guy is reputed to be stronger then the great cyrus. Also, strange things are happening around the world. In truice, people are calling the famous Leene bell "Nadia's bell". I've never heard of that name before, and I'm sure the queen is still called Leene. In the east, by the hero's grave, a volcano erupted. That place is supposed to be calmer than a recovery spring, but magma doesn't lie. Some people said they saw some dactyls of past flying out of it, though that can't be very reliable. In the north west, just south of Sun Keep, A strange building appeared. Strange men keep walking out of the building in a steady march, everyone so heavilly armored that it's a wonder they could even stand. Come to think of it, they looked alot like that friend of yours, that one that liked to make a lot of beeps and whistles. What was his name? Robo? Anyway, I've heard reports around here that if you watch the clouds, you can sometimes see a large chunk of land floating way up there, but I've neverseen it so I wouldn't trust it."

"Ahhhh" he said as he finished the drink. "I hope I've covered it all. Well, thanks for the drink. I'll be seing ya around. "With that, he simply stood up and walked out. When chrono ran outside after him, all he saw was an empty vilage....

I'll go Frog, but I'll assume that, this being after the defeat of Lavos, the spell on Frog has been broken and he is now Glenn (I've also heard that Glenn from CC is from the parralel world where the very original Glenn never got turned into a frog... weird...)
When Poore invaded the land, Glenn tried his best to protect the Royal Family, but failed, and after this he fled from the Poore forces, unable to stop them on his own. He then left on a journey to find his old friend Chrono. Together, perhaps, they could do something to stop Poore. Hearing rumours that Chrono is in Medina, he travels in that direction, the Masamune by his side (Yes, this is before Masamune became evil) and the Hero Medal around his neck.

OOC: If it's alright with you guys I'd like to take the role of Magus. Also a question: Have all the time periods merged or do we still need the gates to move between them?

You can be Magus - about the gates/time periods, you'll have to ask Cryo - it kind of hints towards a merging though, methinx.

Thanks Dark Warrior. Just so you'll know, I've only played Chrono Trigger. I rented Chrono Cross but I just didn't care for it. I'll do my best to contribute to the thread once it gets going.

your not missing much. Chrono cross takes place entireloy in the el nido archapegio. A small small cluster of islands in the ocean. Gil is reputad to be Magus, but that was just a rumor. Also, glenn from CC was named such only because his father named him after a hero from the past.

The story is, it's a paradox in time. Frog isn't in 1000 ad, he's still in 600 ad. Guardia fell in 1005 ad, a full 400 years AFTER frog would have died of old age. As it should be, there are strange paradoxies in every time period, and in 600, only frog understands it the best. though it's still strange fucking what the fuck kinda things going on to him things. To stick with the chrono trigger story (as was understoon in the remake fmv's) Frog is once again human, but with green hair. Noone knows that he's frog. He remaines silent and secluded, but is still queen leenes personal bodyguard (I think that ony she knows the truth).

If frog runs into chrono, then that's just another paradox. Also, not all paradoxies lead the heros to chrono. He has to find soome friends himself you know.

In Zeal, there were 14 versions of the bio-mechanical data storage units. Each were names subsequently with a greek letter. The most succesfull was the Nu, so that's the type they made into mass production. Menta was the thirteen'th prototype, but built with too much of it's own intelligence. Before being scrapped, Menta fled into time and was never heard from again. Actually, he appeared in 2 bc, and inadvertantly caused the cataclism that almost destroyed the world, and set the standard of time measurement. (BC means Before cataclism. AD means after Destruction.)

So, ah, you reckon it would be better for me to go CT Glenn or CC Glenn???
By the way, I agree, CC was kinda lame. Just too many characters, so none of 'em have a personality. Plus there is 0 storyline. It's just fight, kill, talk about some crap, fight, fight, kill, etc. Only good thing about it is Glenn with the two Einlanzers hehehehe

OOC: Okayyyyy... now that I'm more confused than before I'll just try my best to go along with the story. I'll find something for Magus to do until Chrono bumps into him. I'm assuming that time has passed for every character so for Magus and Glenn it's actually 607 and so on for the others. I hope that's alright.

Character: Magus (also known as Janus)

IC: The year: 607 AD. A lone figure stands upon a seaside cliff, staring silently at the vast ocean below. A gentle breeze plays with his flowing silver hair and violet cape. "Oh Schala, after 7 long years of searching I still haven't found you" he laments.

As he looks upon the shadows cast on the water by the clouds high above him he detects a subtle change in the wind. It is something far too familiar.

The dark wind begins to howl...

As he contemplates what this might portend he distractedly notices that one of the shadows on the surface of the water is much different than the others.

His gaze travels upward only to find something completely unexpected. In the sky sits a floating island.

The fact that an island was floating in the sky was not what took him by surprise. Nor did it matter that he had once inhabited this island. The problem was that he had been present when this very same island was destoyed in the year 12,000 BC. "How can this be?" Magus asked himself.

The answer was obvious. Clearly, something was very wrong with time.

Glenn looked up at the looming figure of the floating island in the sky. He still had no answer as to how it could be there. It reminded him once of something which had happened 7 years ago, when he and Chrono and the others had travelled time, and... but it could not be. It had been destroyed! He looked back down and shook his head. He continued to trudge along the path. What was happening to the world these days, he thought. It seemed that once more Time itself was in peril. Perhaps Chrono shall know something, Glenn thought as he continued.

I'm in if thats ok.. I've only play CC but this looks fun. I'll play the part of Schala if thats alright with you I'll wait till a few more people post before I jump it.. I will post tomorrow more then likely

C'mon people. There are still around 10 more characters to choose from. We need more posters so we can start the official thread. Yeah, I know I'm impatient.

Hmmm... I generally don't like to do that Celeb Lover but if it comes to that, I'm willing to play the other Glenn as well, and others if need be.

Like I said earlier, I haven't played CC so I'm not sure what's going on with the Glenns. Should there be two of them or will we consider them the same person?

Schala was lying quietly on the beach soaking up some rays when something blocked out the sun. Narrowing her eyes she expected to see someone standing over her instead she saw a large floating object. Scrambling to her feet she shook her head. "It's impossible!" gathering her things she turned to leave "I've got to talk to Chrono about this".

Hey, Hey Hey Siren. Were using set characters here. If you want to become marle or Lucca, great. Ok, I'm going to start the official thread. If that's ok with you that is. We don't need everyone, must most of the originals would be appreciated.

And to avoid confusion, we'll continue calling the original glenn Frog. Oh, also, Cyrus is a playable character. This is a paradox you know.

Just to set things straight: Glenn from CC is NOT Glenn/Frog from CT. In fact, CC Glenn was named after Frog, a legendary hero who lived over 400 years ago (So they're definately not the same person).

is she hanging out with crono at the moment or is everyone seperated?
