I generally try to avoid commenting on threads of this type but I feel that I must comment on this one.

I support Bush, he was elected president (not under the most fair circumstances) by the people here. Everyone is entitled to bash him as much as they want, but he is the leader of the free world. But anyway back to the topic.... Even with the amount of support I have for the man, I do believe it is time for the U.S. to stop backing Isreal in the fassion that we do. Isreal has been around since 1948, its time for them to do things on their own without U.S. involvement. It's time for Isreal to go out on its own into the world and be held accountable for its actions without the U.S. coming to save their ass. Granted they are surrounded by people's and countries that want them gone but every country has suffered this and its time for Isreal to either sink or swim. By the way of their handling of this awful affair it would be better for them sink to the bottom and disappear rather than float around and pollute international waters. Isreal must change the way they are handling things and actually try for some sort of peace, but the Palestinians also must change how they have been handling things too. This isn't a clear cut case of right or wrong, but one where the water is murky (and has been murky) for thousands of years, and it is going to take the collective efforts of both people's to clear up those waters. And until they find 2 leaders who are committed to at least trying for peace, there will be no peace in the Middle East.

Read, sillythyist. I said nothing about the markets. I said that this dumbass is trying to lower taxes while the tax base is shrinking like a lanced Hemorrhoid, (and I am adding here) and right over the horizon is the small problem of the baby boomer 's social security and Medicare costs. The cupboards are bare and the guy is going to be giving away the plumbing soon.

Frankly, I don't think the markets are a reliable indication of the financial health of the federal government.
