I am not a christmas baby but my Dad is! His birthday is the 24th December! He often gets christmas cards with"PS happy birthday" on them and joint presents for both occassions. Every year I make sure i get him something sperate for his birthday, its only fair.


Do you other christmas babies like having your birthday at this time of year? just wondering.....

That is exactly what sucks about having a Christmas birthday.
When you are a chuld, you hear, "I didnt buy you two presents, got you one big one instead,"
and you KNOW they are lying.
is exactly what you would have received,if birthday not then.
And cards that say Merry Christmas,and have Happy Birthday written on on them,almost as an afterthought, or the toher way round are an insult.

I still get cheated on my birthday...by my job. Everyone else gets their birthday off with pay, I on the other hand, have to wait for a few weeks. They don't want me having 4 days off the week of Christmas. Grrrrrrrr...damn retail anyhow.

Although my birthday is exactly a week before Xmas (18th of December), my "lucky" Mom got to take me home from the hospital on Xmas day (back in the old days, when women and their babes remained in the hospital for a week!).

I started out resenting the combined birthday/Xmas gifts (or birthday gifts wrapped in Xmas paper). However, as the years moved on, I grew to just LOVE having my special day during the holiday season!

I can't image enjoying a birthday now without seeing the beautiful lights! Helps me really feel grateful for being alive!

Another Christmas Birthday

Hey Y'all, I'm another one. December 24 th.

I remember while growing up my parents always insisting Christmas be celebrated on the 25th, much to the wailing and gnashing of teeth by my brothers. "The 24th, is your sister's birthday!!!" I too have gotten my share of combination gifts. We all know how brothers are.

I also do have a wonderful collection of special ornaments for my tree as grandma and grandpa and my parents always made sure I got a special one from them for my birthday.

I was a couple weeks early when born. People have asked me how I feel about having put my mom in the hospital for Christmas. I just smile and say, they were happy. I was an unexpected tax deduction!!!

I do hope everyone has a wonderful, warm and Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday for those in the club too.
