Sweet baby jesus, why...

I'm really concerned about dinosaurs, and I think something needs to be done. The science behind them is pretty flimsy, and I for one do not want my children being taught lies. Did you know that nobody had even heard of dinosaurs before the 1800s, when they were invented by curio-hungry Victorians?

Charles Darwin's later theory of evolution entirely disproved dinosaurs, yet the dinosaur lie was twisted and adapted to try to make it fit. Any proper look at the facts will reveal that dinosaurs simply never existed.

Wait, what???

SMH.

As I always say, stereotypes do not grow in a vacuum. Somewhere, sometime, someone is exactly the thing the most hyperbolic painting of a particular group is portrayed as.

Fuck you, T-Rex! Yeah, I said it.

On a completely unrelated note: people can be very silly.

I'm not allowed to discuss dinosaurs in my house anymore. On account of everyone in my family watching those dinosaur documentaries on Animal Planet a few years ago and so badly wanting the "splice a frog with it!" theory to be a real thing.

So, I'm pretty against dinosaurs too. But I'm just not allowed to talk about it.

Jinx. You owe me a Coke.

Peruvian Flake, please.

I assume this is extremely deadpan humor.

In my experience, conservative Christians are more apt to try shoehorning the 19th century discovery of dinosaurs into the 2-to-3 millenia old Bible that clearly never mentions them than they are to try proving dinosaurs are a hoax.

But maybe this is a genuine new movement. The gap between parody and self-parody keeps narrowing.

I hope so. I really, really hope so. But satire doesn't try THAT hard to use "facts" and "logic" and put that much effort into their argument.

If it is satire, that is one deadpan chick. She's even got the smug expression and gestures right down pat.

I'm going to pray to god that this isn't real.

Relax, we Christians have our share of Wingnuts too.

In fact a whole bunch of them are saying Earth is only 12,000 years old. They read a verse and think they know what it means, rather than STUDYING God's Word.

Over 90% of what Christians believe is BS. They pay attention to what Religion teaches rather than the written Word of God.

1. What happens when you die?

2. Where are believers going to spend eternity?

3. Do believers have to " pay for the ills they did"?

4. What is going to happen to those that do NOT believe?

5. Ever notice the contradiction between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2?

This is where she gets totally confused. She wants to simply read God's Word rather than truly Studying as God commands in 2nd Timothy 2:15.

Christians Against Dinosaurs will be streamed live this coming Thursday. Vegas odds are on a t-rex eating all the Christians in the first fifteen minutes of the fight.

We expect this to be far more popular than the Christians Against Lions series this was based on.

That's OK.

One of those Muslim idiots informed his followers that the earth did not move as in rotate...

Oh, there's at least one or two Christian fundies who have made a number of YouTube videos "proving" the universe spins around the Earth which stands still in space (lacking anything like verifiable mathematical models which both explain & predict the observed phenomena) all because da bible sez so & gawd's werd ain't never wrong.

Then there's the guy who calls himself Steven Christ who claims we're all living on the inside of a hollow Earth cuz he's got a direct line to gawd...

I'd be willing to bet, if one went looking, one could find fundie Jews claiming the same Derp because scripture is 100% inerrant and if demonstrable knowledge contradicts the holy word, then demonstrable knowledge must be wrong.

Religion seems to encourage stupid, ignorant & crazy in a certain few which is either tolerated, protected or (worse) encouraged by other participants in the faith.
