Christian sat at his desk on the trading floor, looking out of the window. His position was closed out for the forthcoming week as he had so many dull meetings with clients and so called business partners that the commodities markets would need to take a back seat. He sat back in his chair, adjusting the lumbar support a little as he looked around the huge open-planned room.
The risk analysis guys were having one of their many meetings in one of the privacy booths in the corner of the office, no doubt judging whether Christian or one of his colleagues was about to go rogue and blow the company's money. Damn those guys were unpopular. It wasn't so much the internal policing that they did, but the apparent joy that they displayed at being able to tell traders what to do. All except Beverley of course. She was just matter-of-fact and to the point. Plus it was hard to feel any animosity toward someone with a figure of a goddess!
Christian continued his scan of the room. There had been some good hires lately. Debbie on finance wasn't as lithe and graceful as Beverley but she had other assets that made up for it. Christian sniggered to himself as Liam looked up and caught him eyeing up those assets held beautifully in a low cut blouse. Megan on the metals desk was another recent hire of note. Australian in every stereotypical way you could imagine right down to the love of sport, beer and bbq's!
Yes, this was certainly one hell of a place to work if you liked the ladies. Of course, all of that was soon to end. Christian's wedding was in just over a month and he'd promised himself that he'd be faithful and a good husband. He wasn't sure that he loved Sam, but he sure did like her a lot and she was good fun to be around. Plus she was really good for him, a steadying influence. Sam had left her partying ways behind her years ago. That was almost enough to make Christian feel guilty about his few indiscretions. Almost.
Christian looked at his watch. 6 o'clock on the dot. He got up and picked up his suit jacket from the back of his chair, sliding his arms into it as he made a visual inspection of the weather through the window, his broad shoulders filling the tailored lines of his suit nicely. He loosened his tie, which hung down over his muscular chest, and undid the collar button of his slim-fit shirt. “See all you guys and gals tomorrow” he said to no-one in particular as he headed for the elevators, with a smile on his face.
[OOC – Hi all. This is open to a single woman who would like to play... anyone! I mean it - Beverley, Debbie, Megan and Sam are just fillers so if you're interested you can use one of those or create someone entirely different. I've intentionally left the above intro as free of details as possible so the characters (my Christian and your Whoever) can be made to measure. I'm open to a continued 'mundane' rp or one with supernatural undertones or modern fantasy etc. My only requests are that if you're interested please PM me with your idea and character rather than just post and also I'd like there to be a decent plot and character development. Anyway, hope to hear from you (whoever you are!) soon.
