Choose Your Own Adventure!!

Okay, here is my idea:

I want to write a choose your own adventure story about a normal joe shmoe who ends up having the night of his life. Some of the decisions the reader could make would be who he goes home with what he ends up pursuing etc etc...

I'm hoping that this thread will help me think up scenarios and decisions that my character can make! Here's what I have so far:

My main character is at a party, having a good time, drinking a little smoking a little and now it's time to go home. There are a bunch of people at the party; aunt+uncle, friends (both male and female) strangers, older people younger people etc. The first decision the reader gets to make is who the character goes home with. Everyone offers a ride, but who's car he gets into will shape the events coming up. This can lead to incest, gay male, lesbianism, mature, group sex, etc! One of the cars could have a whole bunch of people in it for group sex.

What do you guys think? Would this be a cool story?

I've seen 'em done in books, but not on a BBS. How would a reader 'Flip to Page XX?" If you start tagging actual paragraphs it would get unweildly very quickly. That , and I prefer reading linearly and not skipping all over a body of text to find the next juicy bit.

Still, it might be fun to attempt. Perhaps it is a SRP fantasy you're really itching to script and host?

I have written Choose Your Own Adventure's before, although, never sexual! hehe. I think that to make this work each bit would have to be very descriptive, very in-depth. Also, you're right about skipping over sections and stuff. If this works out and I get it to a point where I can post it, I would have to beg for shorter literotica pages so that each 1 page could be 1 of my pages. Otherwise I could always put it on another site and leave a link in my profile!

It sounds like what you are proposing here is actually somewhat of an interactive story. If so, then I would suggest using the Chyoo forum - it would be great for what you are thinking of. Yes, Chyoo can be set up for any number of posters to post to - with you having the ability to let them actually post or not. However, you can also set it up so you are the only one who can post to the story. That way, you can provide multiple ways to go, and you can write as much or as little as you like. I don't remember what it tops out at, but I believe it is 4 pages per page.

I tried a story there, but it was difficult to get other writers to write to it. (what I had originally hoped for) However, I did find it to be a good exercise in learning to write from different perspectives and different story ideas.

You might want to try that out, post a link to it, and see if it goes over. They do have voting there, along with vews, so you can monitor (sort of) how you are doing.

Don't know how it would work on the regular Lit board, though.




Edited to add: SRP = Sexual Role Play. A little different than an interactive story. Each "player" chooses a role and writes strictly to that role. Lit has a Sexual Role Play forum (where I've accumulated most of my posts) and an Online Role Play forum, often abbreviated as ORP.

Assuming that both are male:

Both have consumed a fair share of alcopops at the party, anyway. Best friend is driving, a little slowly anyway, as he is not sure that he is legal. At a stoplight, bestfriend leans over and kisses the guy. Not some lame kiss, either. Full on the mouth with tongue...

would anyone want to write or read a chain story about this? one author would write one scenario about the character, another author would write another, etc etc? Different things that could have happened to the person if he'd chosen a different car?
