I have just started writing on literotica and I have to admit I really enjoy it. I’m working on a multi-part story right now but an idea occurred to me about another type of story. I wanted to get some opinions before I try writing it thought. Let me know what you think or have any ideas.

I used to love these books when I was younger called “Choose your own adventure“. It would start out as any regular story and when you’re reached a certain point you could decide what would happen next. There would be choices you would have to make and in essence you get to tailor the story the way you want to go, for your own personal preference.

We all have read stories that were great in the beginning but had a disappointing ending or we wish they would have done this or done that. This could be the start of something new and different every time you read it!

The basic premise is a story would start out with a typical story line like two people meet in a bar and they hit it off for example. They go back to one of their places and start fooling around. That’s were it would get interesting. The story would change. You could decide what would happen next. It could become a NonConsent / Reluctance, Transsexual / Crossdresser, Anal, Group sex, or fetish story. There really is no limit with all of our imaginations.

I know this would be a lot of work but I think it could be very interesting. If there is a lot of interest I would probably have to have some help from people who like to write in a certain category and make it a Chain story but I have not thought that far in advance yet. I just want to know what people think.

Um, you do know about CHYOO, right? Literotica's choose your own adventure story authoring system and archive? As software it's kinda lame, but it is basically what you are describing.

Not really, while CHYOO is a chain of events using different players in their point of view, it is one storyline.
This kind of story, stops at one point and gives you a choice of things to do and see.
Each of those choices branch out in more choices.
Each of those choices branch out in more choices.
Eventually an earlier choice meets a later choice skipping the middle altogether.

There have been many sexual DVDs of this nature from 2000 up.

*blink* No, chyoo isn't restricted to one storyline. Chyoo stories are limited to 4 branches from each segment, but they certainly can branch and optionally reunite or go to several different endings. Some stories allow you to play as male or female and put your own name into the story, some allow you to pick from a selection of possible love interests, most allow you to make strategic choices about what should happen next.

My own chyoo story is rather unique in allowing you to choose whether hermaphrodites are presented with male or female pronouns, and is rare in that it is one of the few which does not have a branching story or put the reader into the story but instead allows the reader to choose which of my cast of characters to follow and explore the story structure in different orders, either concentrating on one character or alternating between all the characters.

I never signed up for CHYOO or MUDD or any of those, but I have seen the forum version played (role play), and I guess I was thinking this was the same.

Hey, why can't we have a regular SRP like that?
I know a good site for it.
I thought it had a PG forum, but I guess it really isn't, it's an R rated forum going by movie ratings.

I have written stories like you have described. They really can be fun, but they take a long time to write. You basically end up writing six or seven stories, or however many different adventures you decide the story should take. For the reader they are a lot of fun, but for the writer, well it can get overwhelming pretty quick.

Still if you would like to read a few, you can take this link. I did not write any of these stories, but it will give you a chance to see what you will need to do for your story.

I can understand why some would be offended by stories such as this. Pulp Erotica is more about historical fictional erotica, then anything else. Back in the 1930's and 1940's, these kind of stories were the "porn" of the time. Comic books, full length novels and even true crime type newspapers were filled with these kind of stories. Of course back then woman and others were regarded with a lot less respect, so the Pulp Erotica stories are written that way to be historically accurate.

Myself I find writing historical fiction to be challenging, but in my everyday life, I certainly detest the same things you do.

I see your point about comedy ("Charlie's Angels" movie), but it's not very erotic.
