China end foreign adoptions of unwanted female children.

I think this is the last nail in the coffin of China's draconian "one child" policy.

For decades, Chinese families, limited to "one child" by state decree, would routinely drop off unwanted female babies at orphanages in China (male children were highly preferable). The gender imbalance is so bad in China right now they realized they actually need female babies.

Unwanted Chinese girls were sold to Americans for $10,000 hard cash. Americans who lacked functional reproductive equipment, like Literotica's own JoePepsiCo, jumped at the chance to play "father". Chinese adoptees were thought to be superior to American infants up for adoption, who were often born drug addicted and/or had serious mental issues.

So how many did you buy?

I had no need to purchase any children via foreign adoption agencies.

My only experience with foreign adoptees: I once coached an adopted 11 year old kid fresh out of Russia in Little League baseball. He didn't speak a word of English (he had Arpyesque learning disabilities). His younger sister sat in our dugout, she was fluent in English and served as our interpreter.

What is your experience?

When I lived in CA I frequented a lot of Chinese restaurants. There's a very good one in Idaho Falls but it's over 200 miles from my place. So I only partake these days when I'm on the move. Funny thing. I was in Grand Junction, Colorado a while back and stopped at a Mexican Restaurant for a bit to eat. To my complete surprise there wasn't a Mexican to be seen. The place was run by Chinese people. It had a Chinese chef cooking Mexican food and Chinese waitresses. The place was jammed. I have to tell you, my friend and I both concluded it was some of the best prepared Mexican food we ever had and both of us have lifetime experiences eating Mexican food all over the US and in Mexico. When I visited Italy earlier this Summer I was kind of surprised to see Mexican restaurants in Naples. Oh, and a heads up, never go to Italy in the summertime, ever.

Sounds about right. Way back when I was at uni I used to go to a French restaurant that was chinese owned and staffed - great French food. Hong Kong was amazing like that too. Loved the Hong Kong French bakeries. Best ever.

I went to a Chinese restaurant in Bulawayo , in Zimbabwe, years ago, with my Mom and Dad, and it was like a time warp - all the china was really old fashioned. My mom said it was like the Chinese food her mom used to cook when she was little - all old traditional recipes. We ended up out back with the family that ran the restaurant talking until about two am. They were 3rd generation Chinese, had the same restaurant for decades and it was really good food too. I had some of the best ice-cream I've ever eaten in Zimbabwe.

Lol....hey fuckwits....the cosplay section is over there

Don't knock it. So many chinese baby girls got dumped in those orphanages it was awful. Friends of my mom's adopted one and she's a lovely little girl. Bigger now, but just as lovely, and smart too. Mostly, being adopted by Americans was the best thing that could have happened to them.

Now, they're going to have to wait and do Green Cards.....oh well

Thanks for the travel tips, vette.

That may be too late. The population will decrease more as food production decreases, but it still needs a demographics pyramid, widest at the bottom, to continue as a viable nation. China's lack of kids may be terminal. That's more than just dumping the girls at orphanages. The rapid ultra-urbanization made child raising too inconvenient. That is a common situation in many industrialized nations, but China is a severe case.

Yes, you are right.

One of my friends worked as an intermediary for foreign adoption in a city of the south. It was in the early 2000, and there was even a cover of the American Reader's Digest magazine showing a woman holding an adopted child in China.

Now the population is declining. Young people find it too hard to earn some money to buy car and house for marriage, and the couples find it even harder to raise a child, so most of the youngsters choose not to marry and not to give a birth.

In areas like the once No. 1 densely-populated Sichuan Province, official documents have been issued to give legal registration of the babies born out of wedlock, which has precipitated the increase of illegal polygamy.

A while back, a corrupt high-ranking official who is governer of a national bank, is said to have all his concubines placed in a residential quarter that has dozens of high buildings. In other words, all the residents (or owners) of the houses in that community are his illegal sexual partners. On the other hand, the girls or women available for marriage become even fewer. It is an vicious circle for the decrease of population.

The Butthole Burglary thread is over there as well, how about skipping on over?
Please, tell us another story about how you've interacted with with foreigners.

It's endearing to the dipshits

Like I said, don't go to Italy in the summertime. If you do you'll interact with far more than you thought you would.
Bonus Tip: Don't take the bus between towns on the Italian Amalfi Coast, you'll be sorry you did. Hire a local driver if you want to be more comfortable and escape the wafting smell of barf. That's it for now.

I'm sure you put on your tourist outfit when you tell the story.
