China Bombs US

Let's just suppose it happens. Let's suppose that China, in their offensive strategy chooses to simultaneously bomb all of US's (known) nuclear sites.

What would you expect Dubya to do?

What would Clinton do in the same situation?

and...

What would YOU choose to do?

hmm

if China decided to bomb us then in the last remaining hours of life on earth I would probably be sitting on my couch crying like a little girl!. I mean damn, if china launched missiles at all of our bomb sites two things would happen
#1. Our missle defense system would kick in and automatically fire off a certain amount of missiles to try and intercept their missiles.
and..
#2 some jackass in the government would probably get the idea that since they attacked us we might as well attack em right back and that means we'd launch missiles at all their bomb sites. and more than likely while all this is happening some smaller nations might decide that since the larger nations are probably too busy with each other to notice them, the might think it would be a good time to launch attacks on their enemies also.

For one thing, China does not have the physical capability to bomb all our nuclear sites, especially if you consider places we have deployed nuclear weapons to be nuclear sites. They don't even have the capability to bomb all our nuclear power plants.

China has only a handful of very inaccurate ICBM's, and less than 100 bombers capable of reaching the US. They could do severe damage to the west coast, but not to military targets, only cities. That would not be a very sound strategy for a nuclear war. All they could really do is piss us off by killing a few million civilians. We, on the other hand, have the capability of destroying nearly all of the infrastructure of China, as well as killing a few hundred million of their citizens.

On the whole, not a very likely scenario.

BTW, Cheshire Cat, we don't yet have a missle defense system deployed.

Sorry, nuclear war doesn't have too many options.

I suspect Clinton and Dubyah would do the same thing.
