I wanted to share this with people here in case anyone was interested in taking part. Child's Play is a charity that is run and organized by the guys over at the Penny Arcade webcomic. They have a network of children's hospitals in the U.S. and around the world that they donate to.

They accept cash donations year round but from November to December they have a toy drive. If you go to their website you can select a children's hospital near you and pull up a wish list from Amazon.com. The lists have video games, consoles, movies, puzzles and board games for kids who have to spend their holidays alone in a hospital.

Some of the items purchased are kept and used year round and some others the children are allowed to take home with them when they leave.

I'm going to keep spreading the word on this elsewhere because I think it's a really great cause. I know times are tough for everyone and money is tight, but these kids are probably in a lot worse shape than most of us.

It really is a great cause. I read the Penny Arcade comic and their news section every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. What they do is so worth while it is amazing. They don't take a cut of anything, and they do other work to raise more money to give away (auctions and whatnot).
