Did you ever watch "The Mysterious Cities of Gold?"

I found it for free oh HULU:

This was one of those shows that I used to rush home from school to watch. Not many people that I know watched it, but if you did... here it is for FREE.

I guess there was a little history lesson that never made it to Nickelodeon but those are cool, too. It talks about the places the kids in the story visited. It reminded me of the anthropology videos I watched in college.

So many things you watched when you were little are atrocious once you're grown. I didn't find that to be true with this one. Granted the animation isn't great, but the story is still neat. Just thought I'd share.

Ah...

I remember this little-known anime. I only saw a very little of it when I was younger, but it was very good. If we hadn't moved and I hadn't been shifted into a different after-school schedule, I would have continued to watch it. :)

Sometimes it's nice to bask in nostalgia, although sometimes it's more bitter than sweet. This tastes mild and even. It's a nice bit of clock rewind. ^_^ Thanks for the link.

I used to watch it whenever it was on, even though by the time it showed up I was a bit old for "cartoons". (i.e. a junior or senior in high school).

I remember being temporarily saved from homesickness by it; I'd gone on a three-week exchange trip to France. My host family- minus the mother and the girl closest to my age, who'd stayed behind because the girl had appendicitis- was taking me to the Alps for a week when we got into a car accident. No one was hurt, but I was shaken, and they gave me a very hard time for being scared and crying. (They weren't the world's most sympathetic people; they spent most of the vacation making fun of me for being homesick.) We found a hotel for the night- I had to share a room with the oldest girl and her boyfriend, who of course shared a bed; at least I had my own bed. I turned on the TV the next morning while they were off somewhere and found "Les Cites Mysterieuses d'Or" (mighta spelled that wrong), which for the half hour it was on made me feel a little less crappy.
