This is a new idea I thought I'd try. Basically, instead of Kal-El being the only child sent to Earth before Krypton was destroyed, several were. Jor-El and his crew working in the Space Development Program had detected that their red sun was close to going supernvova. They tried to warn the people, but thanks to the ridicule of General Zod, no one would take them seriously anymore. Wanting their offspring to live on but not wanting to abandon their home world, the Space Program crew sent their children off to a planet Jor-El had visited a few times in his youth -- Earth. Sure enough, right after sending off the children, the sun exploded. No one on the planet at the time survived. Eventually, there was a large meteor shower of rocks from Krypton that hit the Earth. Amung these rocks, the ships of the sons and daughters of Krypton. Each one had a holographic message from their parents for when they were a bit older.

Some of them may have found each other already, but none have found Kal-El, son of Jor-El. Adopted by a family of farmers, he became Clark Kent. Deciding to wait till adulthood to reveal to him the spaceship he arrived in, they raised him as a human. However, by the time he hit his preteens, it became very obvious to him that he was very different. He was never sick, never felt any pain, never hurt himself in any way. It seemed he could hold his breath much longer that his friends, and no one could ever beat him in a wrestling match. As he got older, his abilities grew, and soon he realized he was invulnerable after being the sole survivor of a terrible plane crash. He had been on his way back home from a Boy Scout trip. As he neared his mid teens, he began to run faster and faster, until he could outrace even a bullet. His powers seemed endless, and by the time he reached the age of eighteen, he was damn near godhood. His powers included flight, super-strength, invulnerability, super-speed, vision powers (including x-ray, heat, telescopic, infra-red, and microscopic vision), super-photographic memory, super-hearing and super-breath, which enabled him to freeze objects by blowing on them, as well as exert the propulsive force of high-speed winds.

After seeing his ship, his presence activated the hologram of Jor-El. His true father explained all about his home and culture, and revealed that there were others like him that had been sent to Earth as well. After finishing high school, Clark left Smallville in search of his fellow Kryptonians.

So, this is the idea. If you wanna play, create your Kryptonian and name the city and state/province and country he/she lives in. Then I know where to make Clark go.

Becki Brown

"Earth" Name: Becki Brown
Name: Xea-Er
Hometown: Bloomville, Upstate NY

Becki's always felt a bit... different.
Found by a man who had lost his wife to a car accident, he raised Becki as his own, hiding the ship inside the upper storage of the car garage he worked for. Becki grew up a tomboy, trying to make her father proud- until the strange powers seemed to surface, Becki almost setting fire to his garage numerous times. Her father realized she was no ordinary kid, making her promise not to use any of her powers without good reason.
When her heat vision accidentally went off during one of her classes, she was branded a 'freak' by other students, teased and taunted for her strange abilities. She became a bit of a loner, taking refuge in her flying.
Her father has still not shown her the ship he found her with.

"Earth" Name: Zack Oddmen
Name: Dar-Zod
Hometown: The Suicide Slums, Metropolis

Zack was never what you'd call a normal boy. He's allways possessed a strange intensity, almost a madness about him. Raised on the streets, he's always been a loner, but had to learn to harness his gifts in the brutal realities of the suicide slums, making him a dangerous man. Now he works as and enforcer for Morgan Edge. Very dangerous, and in the dark about his heritage. His ship was destroyed on entry, and all he possesses from it is his family crest, which he also has tattooed on his right shoulder.

Notes: Zack's father is Zod, a general who attempted a coup of Krypton. Zod's mother is the one responsible for his arriving on Earth, as she was a member of the same team as Jor-El. She wanted better for her son than what her mad father could provide.

The second part of your char is fine, it's the first part I have a problem with. Obviously, they all arrived on Earth at the same time. Since Kal-El is eighteen, that would suggest they arrived on Earth somewhere between 1990 and 1993. The Cold War started back in the 40s, but ended when the Soviet Union dissolved in 1991.

Awesome revamp, App. Just one question though; I had not noticed this before: What do you mean when you say he pursued study of Krypton? The only source of knowledge on that part of the galaxy is located within the hard drives of the Kryptonian space pods -- at least on Earth. And since it's 2007, I doubt anybody on Earth would know of Krypton.

Well, the main focus of this game is supposed to be the sons and daughters of Krypton coming together. However, I will also start a Justice League thread.

No, you misunderstand what I meant. That's fine that your char knows of Krypton. What I meant is that you had said he pursued knowledge of Krypton, but the only sources of that knowledge on Earth are the holomessages and whatnot within the ships. Basicly, if he sought after more information than what was on his ship, it would be a futile search, as no one on Earth -- other than the Kryptonians and those they've told -- is even aware of the existence of Krypton. The only source of knowledge on Krypton is within all their ships. So, if he studied everything on his ship, there is absolutely nothing more he can learn about Krypton unless they actually go to where it used to be. Thusly, pursing further knowledge that does not exist on Earth is pointless.

This is an interesting thread idea... I may wanna make a char for this. Just out of curiosity what sort of direction is this thread gonna go? I just don't want it to become Teen Titans; a thread packed full of potential and good writers with no where to go. lol.

Still if there's room I'm down.

Honestly, this time, I did not plan out a plot. I figured instead of trying to control the plot like in TT, I'd just let it flow.

Just thought I'd drop a line to say thanks, Jeffinator, for attempting to bear with me as I was creating a character backstory - but I'm going to back out of the story.

The problem seems to be of my lack of understanding/knowledge of the Superman mythos... and me.. I guess you could say, basically wanting to create a character almost on par with Kal-El. Or something of the sort.

I just don't want to be holding anybody back or create any type of undesired results because of me, or my character. Thanks again, Jeff.
