Children in story ...

Never really thought about it as kiddie porn is the furthest thing from my mind, and it was edited by 'pros' around here, but my syrupy family-oriented story that contains some hard core sex has children in it (NOT in the sex!) I mean, it's kinda hard to go home for Thanksgiving with the whole family and not have kids, but I did put them directly in a scene, not just alude to them. I understand and appreciate the need for caution, just thought I was keeping 'my kids' innocent, so I was in the clear.

I notice that my story has been 'viewed' 4 times and the 'pending' has now gotten a frozen, permanent, sort of look to it, the only thing that comes to mind are those sweet lil children that see no sex and have no sex, but are in the story. Hmmm. Come to think of it, the only times I've read about childen in a story on here has been newborn babies.

Oh, hmmm, and then there is the matter that it deals directly with race ... all in one little chapter ... And yet, it's such a light, fluffy, goey girly chapter!

Funny thing is that it probably will only get read the first 3 days like my other chapter, I'll get hammered hard by a few voters, and then it will dwell in the nether regions with its sister chapter, never to be read again.

What say you experts?

My Babysitting the Baumgartners series had kids in it. She had to be babysitting SOMEONE. And they weren't involved with or exposed to the sex. And it was posted.

It shouldn't be an issue. My It happened in the night has children involved in every chapter so far, it's even erotic horror, but they are not exposed to the sex either. You should be fine with it.

How long has it been?

As MathGirl used to say, "longer if the editor's bleeding piles are acting up."

Mostly it depends on the length of the story you posted. I've noticed this with my own stories. My one non consent story so far had 14 views before it was posted, my last story about a blowjob had 4 views before it was posted.

Of course when it could possibly be questionable materials it will take longer. Like my erotic horror story/series, I'll get around to more eventually, it features a just graduated gal, it received 21 views before it was rejected because her age was questionable, so I added in a sentence about being 18 and 9 views later it is accepted. The time it takes to be accepted also varies, short short stories are generally accepted in 2-4 days, longer are anywhere from 4-12 days depending on length.

There is one more factor, length of time you have been an author at literotica, us old farts get faster reviews because they know what we write about and don't write about. Well in some cases, others like myself probably will have an extra day added on just because there was a questionable story.

It posted. That's interesting about the views. Just learning my way around, I guess. So far, it's doing better than the first chapter. It's actually helped to have less views and maybe I managed to scare off the gangbang crowd before they get angry and zing me with a bomb. My bland family-friendly advert probably helped in a weird way.

I remember a story on Lit where two single parents met at a playground, but the sex happened after the kids were asleep in their own beds. I think the key point is that the kids are not in a position to hear, see, or be aware of the sex.
