For cats.

In liquid form.

Brilliant.

(If anyone has ever attempted to pill a cat, you understand.)

Our two knucklehead tom cats were neutered today. They're still a bit woozy, and once home they slowly made the rounds before tottering off to find corners to sleep off the drugs.

But we are armed with this $5.00 bottle of chicken-flavored pain medicine for them, as needed, once they wake up.

Meow.

Bigfoot came home from his surgery with a bottle of giant green antibiotic pills. These things are the size of a nickel, but the thickness of two nickels. I can sneak the first four down him before he catches on to the cream cheese trick, then it's a challenge to see if he'll eat the meatballs containing the next four. My life is a hotbed of suspense, I tell ya.

Dogs are easy to pill.

But cats? Annoyingly intelligent, at times.

More like "MeOUCH," wouldn't you say? ;)

That's what the chicken is for. :cathappy:

Poor things, they seem so frail right now. It must offend their kitty sensibilities to appear weak.

Two pills per day for five days. It could be worse, he's been on 10 day courses of this stuff before.

SSSarahh, most dogs are easy to pill. Bigfoot is a damn canine neurotic genius, unfortunately.

I didn't realize Bigfoot was a pooch!

At least I can cradle my cats and force pill if necessary.

(Tough to do that with a pup.) :D

No matter the species, boys are boys. ;)

Especially 85 pounds of pup!

85 pounds?

What, do you lasso him, sit astride, and hope he doesn't buck you off before you get the pill inside his mouth?

Damn.

Jamms, do what we did with out Lab. Put it in some canned dog food. Make it a small ball. The Lab didn't even bite it was a woof down. She started demanding it. :D

I didn't start out with a pink kitchen, but I wound up with one!

I pray that Abs doesn't see that.

Nah, he's a big cuddlebunny. Worst that could happen to you is he'll lean on you too hard and knock you sideways out of lurve.

Littlefoot, btw, is 70 pounds. ;)

"And they call it Puppy Lurve..." ;)
