This is kind of far out there and short notice (for most), but I'm going back to my hometown from the 13th of January until the 21st to see my family and friends.

I just found out that a band I'm friends with is playing out in the western burbs Saturday, so if you don't find anything to do, you're welcome to hang out with me there (I'm still hoping to do the Karaoke downtown Sunday night).

I'll have to see...I know Saturday is going to be a rotten backwards day since I won't get any sleep until I land and make my housing arrangements when I get there. I have to go through the mess in my room and remember where I put my flight confirmation too.

Sunday, however, should still be awesome. If I look totally crazed or different from my pictures, be not afraid. I'm only dying my hair pink and wearing a bunch of fake piercings for the week so my mother has a series of coronaries.

ETA: Hey...what's up with that Redhead Piano Bar or whatever it's called...played there? Been there? Is it worth going to? Also, I won't sing by myself.

The Redhead is very popular (my friend used to play there a few nights a week). I've never been inside, but I go by it all the time. That's a cool area, but tough to find parking.

Oh darling, I never have and never will drive in the city. Are you kidding? I like the subway, the EL, buses and taxis. Yep, my parents and I used to go past all the time after going to the theatre or opera.

If everything falls through or things get royally fucked up...well, I've got your number and I may just need to escape for a few hours. I'll hopefully have minutes on my cell next week and if not, well, everyone I know has a phone.

Okay so it's all set.

HowEVER.....Mom and Dad pissed me off pretty badly on the phone the other day while I was up at Luna's house and she looked none too pleased watching me cry while my dad acted like an asshole. So after I stayed up there for about six hours, I came back home and discovered my flight confirmation was missing.

I found it tonight though...so I did most of my clothes packing and some of my carry on stuff.

I'm nervous. I want to see Luna before I go. The trip to see my parents didn't work out last time. Will it now?
