it seems to most casual observers that chicago violence was a problem before trump and will remain a problem one after trump because democrat politicians have made a conscious decision in the name of racial and social justice to not fix broken windows and have a hands off policing policy when it comes to the minority communities that need policing the most
It's endlessly fascinating to me how many non-Chicagoans obsess ober Chicago's murder rate. Don't get me wrong: it's bad. But I also know that it's bad in the small Georgia city in which I live (approx. 200k people). I certainly feel less safe here than I ever did the the 24 years I spent growing up in Chicago. Until those decrying the violence in the inner cities and in the small cities are willing to put both money and effort into tackling the root issues causing the violence, all they're doing is trying to score what they think is a political point against people with whom they disagree while refusing to address how their apathy is contributing to the issue

Anecdotal evidence without numbers?
Well, I live in a comparable-sized town and we have maybe three murders a year, almost all of them domestic squabbles. I feel a lot safer here than I do in any major metropolis and I've lived in several, so there is the only appropriate counter to your emotion-based response: anecdotal evidence (but at least I threw out some numbers![]()

That was the point moron...
Trump’s America.
And you missed it. You sure refuted that anecdotal evidence with your own anecdotal evidence.
That is a sad number. I can't imagine what would cause such a thing.
