Chicago Ends The Year With 769 Homicides…

it seems to most casual observers that chicago violence was a problem before trump and will remain a problem one after trump because democrat politicians have made a conscious decision in the name of racial and social justice to not fix broken windows and have a hands off policing policy when it comes to the minority communities that need policing the most

Fuck em...that's what Chicago wants, that's what it NEEDS to get.

Not like (R)'s are doing any better.

It's endlessly fascinating to me how many non-Chicagoans obsess ober Chicago's murder rate. Don't get me wrong: it's bad. But I also know that it's bad in the small Georgia city in which I live (approx. 200k people). I certainly feel less safe here than I ever did the the 24 years I spent growing up in Chicago. Until those decrying the violence in the inner cities and in the small cities are willing to put both money and effort into tackling the root issues causing the violence, all they're doing is trying to score what they think is a political point against people with whom they disagree while refusing to address how their apathy is contributing to the issue

Great post... this is spot on.

White cops killed most of them?

That is a sad number. I can't imagine what would cause such a thing. Funny I have not seen much about that on CNN. But then they had to cover the big story that Trump did not show up at their house to give them a vaccination. Too bad he did not get Santa Claus to help give the shots. Santa has the wonderful ability of showing up at every house in the world in one night.

But back to all of that slaughter of blacks in the windy city. The only thing I can think of it must be white cops just going around shooting up black folks for no reason. They should be defunded and the deaths in the windy city would be a thing of the past.

Go ahead... drink the Kool-Aid.:D

Anecdotal evidence without numbers?

Well, I live in a comparable-sized town and we have maybe three murders a year, almost all of them domestic squabbles. I feel a lot safer here than I do in any major metropolis and I've lived in several, so there is the only appropriate counter to your emotion-based response: anecdotal evidence (but at least I threw out some numbers ;) ;) ).

Do you have a cite for those numbers? Anyone can throw out some numbers.

A few things:

1. Yes anecdotal. Hence why I said I feel and approached from that angle. I didn't claim it was otherwise.
2. Last local count the beginning of December has it at almost 50.

Even having given you a number, though, leads me to suspect that you'll still accuse me of merely an emotional response.

what are the root causes?

Yes... it was all Trump's fault!

Trump’s America.

What a good point. Trump has the blood of all these blacks on his hands. Before Trump took office there was no such thing as black on black killing.

But when all those nice black folks saw his orange hair they just started killing each other.

I really do hope you remember your own words when you see what Harris is bringing to the world.
