During the relocation of the China Pearl Inn, a section of the catacomb walls collapsed, revealing a stone archway lit by two torches bracketing a heavy door carved from a massive piece of ebony. The engraving on the door was simple, a warning plain for all to see:
Those possessing the means to pass the door are greeted by the sight of a large chamber, carved from the living rock itself. Braziers light the room, their flames reflected from the mirrored ceiling. The floor is strewn about with rugs and furs, and polished smooth where it is bare.
Turning to the right, the wall is covered with all manner of restraining devices, cuffs from soft leather to gold, lengths of silk and satin, soft rope, and cold iron chains. Beside the chains are numerous hooks, from which hang a wide assortment of crops, floggers, whips and canes. The contents of the dark wooden armoire next to the whips can only be guessed at.
As the gaze travels left, a darkened alcove is unlit, the shadows revealing nothing of what may lie within. Directly opposite the door, a soft padded table sits next to a wooden frame and a padded bench. Each piece of furniture has attachment points set strategically around the perimeter.
Another darkened alcove is in the next corner, leading the eyes to the left hand wall, dominated by a huge carved wooden four poster bed. The wood appears to be the same ebony the door is carved from, and the sheets white silk and black satin.
Abandon hope, ye who enter within
for to play with the Darkness is to invite it into thy soul
Once tasted, you shall forever more yearn for its Delights.
