I am proud to announce that ...
"Chewing Gum for the Mind!" Volume One
By Art ...has been excepted for review for publishing. <grin>
I submitted a small sample to Lit, but the illustrations
seem to be causing a delay in posting. That or there are a
lot of submissions these days. Now the dreaded 6-8 weeks
for the reply.

So I need to build material for volume two, please send me PM
any "unique and un-common knowledge" of GUM facts,
body illusions, zen tales, and or brain teasers.
(Mental 'work-out' Manual volume two .,..
Chewing Gum for the Mind! The 2nd gumball)

Thanks Art~

here's a very small taste...
of an Illusion Gumball

Say the color of the word rather than read the word.
blue ... green ... purple

*Zen Gumballs = zen tales of enlightenment
*Inspector Gum shoe = you solve the mystery
*Illusion Gumballs = body and mind illusions
(also optical, drawn by moi!)
*Bubble busters and grey matter of facts
*Gum fun
*Math Gumballs + fun and interesting math facts
*Sticky words, words that twist the mind and tongue
*Black Belt Master, Kung Chew
*Ying Yang Gumballs

scientist have stated, simply that, chewing gum expands the mind, so I bought myself a Zen Gumball Machine. Gathered some mind expanding material and building a bigger mental dojo, for mind arobics and thought tae bo with jaw push-ups and ying yang gum balls. It is simply any thing for the mind to chew on ... chewoing gum for the mind. and yes, even poetry <grinin>

I will use this thread to accumilate more (grin) and share some mind expanding material. I didn't know the mind could grow and grow and grow, I better chew chew chew.

Sit down and put your right foot out, rotating it clockwise. Now take your right hand and (in the air) write out the number 6. Your foot will change direction and you can't control it <grin>

"Once upon a time.'
There once was a shaolin priest named Kung Chew,
who ventured out from his temple in search of
enlightenment to carry back to his fellow brotherin
and share learnings from the world. He was traveling
one night when it was raining and getting dark.
He was wet, cold and tired as he found his way along
in the dark. He came to a cave. Well the gods must be
smiling on me he thought as he made his way into
this cave out of the rain. Kung Chew's feet stepped and crunching
sounds came from stepping on crunchy things, but he made
his way in farther, thinking it must be wood blown
into the entrance cause not to much farther in the cave his feet
felt soft straw that he balled up and layed down on in
this pitch black damp cave. He fell asleep from his weary
travel thinking that the gods have taken care of him this
evening and gave him shelter. In the middle of the night
Kung Chew woke up thirsty and listened as he heard water
dripping, so he felt his way over to the sound and felt
what he thought was a gobblet of liquid. The water was
dripping into some container that he quickly smelled
and tasted and quinched his thirst. The gods have truely
blessed me this night he thought as he went back to
sleep. The next morning he awoke to
see that the crunching was bones he had stepped across,
and the straw was hair of long dead and left. The
container of water was a skull that he had drank from.
Well, Kung Chew got a little ill and very upset, but he went
back to his temple enlightened from a lesson he learned.
"Know what that lesson was?
......ENEMY'S OF THE MIND..................
every thing was a blessing to the body till his mind told him that it was not. The mind rejected the bodies refreshing blessings.

du!

Thanks Du, I am excited and on pins and nettles for 2 months ...<laughing>
but now that my copyright is secure I am going to accumilate and create volume two...I submitted about 50 queries for 'the Trinket' and got a lot of real nice thanks but no thanks. I finished this and sent out less than 10 queries and got two solid replies and agents wanting this book. Now one has it and sent it to an editor of a publishing co. I got my foot in the door even if they reject it, <grin> and a foot soldier (literary agent) cracking the whip to get it published <grin>

here is a pic of, Kung Chew

okay maybe not, I never could get these pictures to take on Lit,
well a couple times, like the horse illustrated poem and wood ghosts,
I have a very long ballad poem stuck in submissions from last march that won't take to lit for the images????:???????? grrrrrrr 12345678 I feel better
just no pictures, this volume is filled with optical illusions and cute comic
gumball charactors.
