This is sort of a different feedback request... I'm writing a cheating story which is unfamiliar territory for me and I have a question. If the other spouse is cheating too does that make it just a little to packaged? More like revenge than giving in to temptation?

I think it would be just fine if handled well. It could read as revenge, or it could be read as the partner's infidelity gives him/her "permission" to give in to their desires.

A lot of it depends on the attitude your story takes toward the cheating. If you want to treat it as a positive thing, then cheating from the other spouse may compromise that. If the cheating is to be seen negatively then the element of revenge may be a good fit.
