Shawn reviewed the private message response once again before hitting send. There's nothing worse when carrying on an exchange and letting some trivial error slip out. Not that the Internet Police would be breaking down his front door, it was just the principal he lived by. Re-reading their last 3 or 4 exchanges, he made sure he hit all points to ensure he was keeping a good flow to their conversation.
After all, it had been going on for almost 4 months now, and he was really enjoying it. From what he could surmise, so was she. Was it a dating site? Yes, no, and maybe. The idea was for it to be just a site for folks to meet and have some long term chats. Format of the site resembled dating sites with similar guidelines. Did the presentation of it as a meeting point for folks to chat instead of "connect" really have any significance?
In his late 30's, he found it an easy way to wind down and escape the day to day issues, without the complications normally associated with the "dating" sites. Though never reaching out for a voice call yet he did wonder what she sounded like. Not that you could ever really trust the response from the net...hell, you can be whatever you want others to think you are. That didn't stop him from enjoying their exchange.
He hit send...
"It was a relaxing weekend, Amy. Just some yard work and a poker night with the buddies. I hope your friend's wedding shower was a blast and allowed some time to relax.
Going to keep this note short as I really should finish this project detail list up. Damn reality always creeps in when we least need it.
