I think it would be a good idea...I like chatting, especially to nasty ladies. I'm new here, what does chyoo stand for if anything?

Are you referring to the new irc Lit chat site, devilboy? Because I've never had a problem logging onto there, the problem with it is that no one ever goes. *lol*

To answer the thread, I'd love to find a new place to chat, and I have a few friends that would come over to it.

the current chat link for lit is on Dalnet, a problem in itself in my opinion but thats me. I can't link to it from lit, but i can get there with my chat client. I chat in Jacuzzi on Sexnet.org right now, and it wouldn't be any problem to get a room there for chyoo, or all of lit, but i don't want to step on toes here.

I would love to join into some chat, which does not have to be of a sexual nature (looking up at the earlier comment!).

However, being new..I have no idea how to get to the places the ladies are talking of....all I have is AOL,Yahoo.PalTalk and I think, MSN...however, willing to look into other chat systems..if anyone cares to help and advise

Well I'm up for anything ya'll are. I miss chatting .... and I've looked just about everywhere (dalnet and java) for a new chat home.

KinkyKat, I'm sure will be more than happy with this as well ... and I could get 4 or 5 to come, but not as frequently as I'd like, they aren't online much these days.

I've chatted on MSN and Yahoo chat rooms ... and found their chat programs lacking.

ScarlettRose, since you mentioned it, and I don't see any objections here, I'll follow whatever you'd like. The only suggestion that I have, is you might want to rethink a name for the room. Since they already have two lit chats going, I don't know how well it would go over to have another room named after it. *lol*

I've mixed thoughts on whether a chat channel will encourage people to write more or not.

If people used the channel to drop hints, nag and otherwise bully people into writing then that would be good. If, though, people used it as a rival forum for the sexual writing energy then I'd see it as a bad thing... I wonder how many Chyoo authors navigate off to the SRP and never come back?

it really depends on how many people would be willing to sit in a chat room and encourage people to write. Yeah, i find myself chatting more than writing, but the truth is I found reasons to procrastinate before i ever discovered the internet.
