Greetings!

My Mistress and I are eager to bring chastity into our FLR and have been having problems with comfort while a cage is in place. I read so many blog reports about how the sub would put on a cage and spend their time peacefully growing hornier by the day/week. In our case, we started with a CB-3000. It was comfortable during application but in most attempts grew painful to the point of needing to be removed pretty quickly. Pinch points, compression between the base ring and cage, and other things caused us to abandon its use. We just purchased a metal cage after very carefully measuring. It went on without too much discomfort (using an oil based lube to help). But once again, I began experiencing hot spots of irritation along many of the contact points that grew to make it undesirable to keep on. Another thing I’m still not understanding is why I’m of generally average size but even with a larger 57mm base ring, there isn’t room to slide a finger under it easily. Most other cages don’t even offer a ring this large.

Can anyone who has been down this path share their stories of what they experienced and how they overcame it? We are excited to add this to our repertoire, but not at the expense of being in constant discomfort.

My appreciation in advance for any help!

I think the most important thing is trial and error. You're not going to be able to go from zero to hero overnight, it takes time to work up to these things. So yes, you'll need to try a few styles to see which suits you, but you do also need to work up to wearing one for a long time. It's certainly important to remove and clean at least once-a-day, but it sounds like you're not getting that far.

One tip that may work for you if you're getting pinching around the base ring is to try wrapping a long flat bootlace around the base and then putting the base ring on top of this. It doesn't have to be a bootlace, could be a strip of cloth or an elasticated strap of some kind, but think about hygiene as well. The other thing that may help is to make sure hinges and joins are covered with some tape as these can sometimes move and pinch the skin. Finally, you do need to remember that some positions are going to be less comfortable with a cage (sitting with crossed legs for example) so you do need to be aware and modify your movements accordingly; this constant reminder is often cited as one of the attractions of being in chastity though.

Hope at least some of this helps

My Girlfriend and I started experimenting with chastity play a few years ago, and find it to be really enjoyable.

We also went with the CB3000, and it was definitely a learning curve getting used to what worked and what was the most comfortable combination of the rings and spacers provided. I couldn't believe how I was ever going to fit the thing on my average size. What I found to be very useful to a comfortable fit was learning how to put it on in the easiest way which is the "stocking method" (google provides some examples on this). In my experience using any sort of lubricant is not a great idea, as my penis would begin to slip out the cage after a while.

It does take quite a long time to get used to wearing it, the first time I couldn't wear it for more than an hour, it's important to learn to relax and find some distractions while getting used to wearing it. Eventually I managed to start going to bed wearing it as well, but woke up early in the mornings needing to remove it, but that also stops after a while. Now I am able to wear it for quite a few days at a time, the only issue being hygiene. It takes quite a bit of patience, but once you are used to it, you hardly notice its even there anymore as you go about your day at work etc., but when you are forced to sit and pee every time it is a great little reminder how much of a submissive you are!

I hope you manage to work it out, It is a great part of the FLR.

Thanks for the advice! We’ve decided to start trying it in small increments and work up to longer, removing it when discomfort starts. I got a small piece of silicone to cover where the ring hinge was, that had been one of the main points of soreness. The other is where the end of the cage pushes into the scrotum, I’m going to look at reducing that contact as well. She is very eager to get this sorted out so She can begin using it as She sees fit. We do plan to get a custom cage somewhere down the road once we determine that this is doable. I think the lighter weight of a custom cage will make it more wearable also. She loves the concept of how permanent a metal cage is once she applies it. She has told me several times that once we work out the bugs of this and I can wear it longer, She is very eager to lock me after hiding my spare key somewhere for safety. That way I won’t have the key in an envelope in my wallet with the honor system as I did previously, once the lock is clicked I’ll truly be unable to remove it without Her consent.

cages

I love to put my husband in a wire cage that prevents him from getting hard. W both love it although rarely go for extended times. Usually just on date night. It makes an awkward bulge in his pants. It is a little uncomfortable, I can brush and rub against it. And, on occasion, I can point out to someone that he is wearing it. That is the greatest turn on.

That’s great! What reaction do you get from other people when they are made aware that he is caged and what is his reaction to being outed?

This reminds me of a time my Mistress had me wear it to dinner and a strip club. At the time, it was really pushing our boundaries to even wear it outside and I was very hesitant to have it potentially get noticed. Once inside the club, She (and I) began searching for a stripper we liked for a couples lap dance. We found one that was very fun and lively. She was actively groping both of us and I told her if she felt a bulge, it was a chastity cage. She was very curious and rubbed it, calling us very kinky. In that context it was way less threatening and embarrassing than I think it would be in a nonsexual place.

I have a cb3000. At first it was uncomfortable but as I adjusted rings and spacers it got better.

Turns out a smaller ring worked better for me, the pinching was helped by lubrication, often vaseline in my case as it lasts longer. Helps things slip and move. Longest I have gone is 2 weeks and I can tell you I wanted out so bad I would have done most anything. Sadly I have no key holder to push me.

The overall size makes it uncomfortable in general with tighter fitting clothes. I personally feel a Lori's Tube would be best.

Cages

Cages have not been a part of our play until very recently. I saw a couple that I really liked in videos on xhamster. Then I read a cuckold story that referenced a website. lockthecock. We ordered two hard wire cages that are really too small for me. I have worn them on date nights and have really enjoyed the weight, the bulge and the discomfort bought by the choices that we made.

Interesting thread! Wife and I have been talking about them more and more, and have looked some up online.

Questions for those who've tried them -- how long do you wear them? is there something more erotic about adding the lock to them? and if so, where does she keep the key?

May be you are to araused. It takes time to wear a cock cage permanent. We needed six weeks, started with a few hours.
The base ring shouldn' t fit so wide that you can put a finger under it. It must be tight, but skin shouldn't become blue. Try some cheap types. If the base ring fits well, weight of the cage is not so important.. I wear cock cages 24/7 now for nine years.

Thanks for all of the replies! It’s very interesting to hear other people’s personal perspectives. We tried to go a few consecutive days in the cage but I wound up too sore. We took enough of a break to heal up completely and are starting again in smaller increments. We have been dissing getting a custom made metal cage and/or silicone but aren’t sure which we want first. Either could give us longer wearability. I look forward to hearing more about other people’s experiences.

Maybe the 6000

My husband is kept in a CB-6000 it’s just more comfortable. He had the 3000 at first and he always complained about it pinching. I thought at first he was just trying to get out of wearing it. However his complaining got worse so I finally did some googling and yep there are an number of legitimate complaints.

Now I use the 3000 as a punishment device. It’s very rare I have to use it.

He is comfortable in his 6000.

I know they are expensive but if you’re going for long term you need comfort.

I’m looking at the Queens Keep as maybe a birthday gift. If I go that route I’ll have to order it soon.

Scarlett, be aware that some people are allergic to nickel, and do not tolerate stainless steel jewelry, implants, etc well.

So yeah this is a topic that requires a lot of research. My sub and I ended up with the Holy Trainer. It is a little more on the expensive side but several features made it the best for our needs. Couple reasons after various experiments with several models:

1) the lock is integrated so he can wear it easy under pants. It’s also very much smaller and not a bulky that the public will notice. My sub is a senior level manager by day and he has no problem with this device under suit pants.

2) the peice is molded plastic so it conforms with body heat. It has a number of holes so discrete cleaning staves off Oder and other issues.

3) the molded plastic it good to use with 100% organic coconut oil, reduces the irritation around base of ring. Hot weather some talc also help stave off irritation.

4) my sub is in his 50’s. He has BLood pressure issues and having heavy constricting of metal caused noticeable adverse effects of his daily health . Men don’t check or realize this can happen. So before going into being locked check your health.

It’s not fun passing out at work and ding your cage cut in the ER by several firefighters because you couldn’t supply key.
True story but not my subs thank god.

You’re right..

Sorry, Twister is right. The nickel can be an issue. I’m fortunate that it’s not something I have to worry about..

May be you don't shave the part, where the base ring is. That can prevent skin irritation..

Our Experience

My wife and I have just recently started exploring chastity as well. From my limited experience, I would say that you really need a lot of trial and error to figure out the right style and fit for you.

We started with the CB-6000, but it did not fit well enough for me to wear for more than a day or two before it really started to hurt. Even when completely flacid, the plastic pinched my skin in several places and was extremely uncomfortable. It wasn't just the places where the various pieces met, either; it seemed like the device just had a lot of edges in places where it should have been rounded, and these edges kept pulling at my skin. One example is the ring itself, which was basically square-shaped in cross-section; when I would get erect in the middle of the night, the inside bottom edge would really dig into the top of my balls and irritate the skin. Another example is the "breathing" holes in the tube that went over my cock; my skin bulged out through these holes, and the edges irritated my skin whenever I shifted around.

So, we decided to look for a metal cage, because it seemed like they were generally designed without so many edges. After some searching, we found lockthecock.com, which has a guide for how to measure yourself to find the right fit. Unfortunately, we discovered that their instructions weren't that accurate -- in particular, they have you measure penis length from the very base of the top of your cock, which artificially inflates the length, because that's not usually where the top of the cage actually sits. Based on that misleading measurement, we ordered a long birdcage-style device, which turned out to be way too long for me.

Once we realized what had happened, we ordered a slightly smaller birdcage-style device, which works very well for me. I've read that a lot of people don't like the birdcage-style devices because it gives them too much access to their cock and still allows them to masturbate, but for me, the cage is enough of a reminder that I'm not supposed to do that, so it's much easier to restrain myself than when I'm uncaged. And the fact that I can reach in between the bars is actually an advantage from a practical perspective. It's much easier to put on, even without lube, since I can reach in and pull my cock through. On a day-to-day basis, I can reach through and adjust the way I'm sitting in it when I need to prevent it from pinching me in a certain way. And I have enough access to clean myself, so my wife doesn't need to let me out for periodic cleanings -- I only come out when she wants to play.

We also tried another metal cage, one that enclosed more than the birdcage style, but it seemed to have a similar problem to the CB-6000: there were edges around the breathing holes that were going to irritate my skin. I did like two things about it, though. First, the ring design was not just a circle; it was actually designed to conform to the shape of your abdomen around your cock and balls, so it was more comfortable when the cage is pulled all the way up to your abdomen (although most of the time, the cage winds up slipping down to rest on the top of my balls anyway, so I'm not sure how much of an advantage that would be in practice). The other thing I liked about that cage was the built-in lock -- not having an external padlock dangling around and making noise against the cage would be an advantage. (Right now, I'm dealing with the external lock by wrapping one of my wife's hair-bands around it, so that there's no metal-on-metal clanking sound when I walk around during the day.)

I kind of wish someone made a birdcage-style device with that alternative kind of ring and with an integrated lock. But for now, I'm doing without those things, since the birdcage design works much better for me.

The other thing you'll need to experiment with a bit is the ring size. I experimented a bit with the CB-6000, which comes with multiple ring sizes, but the problems I had with the design kept me from getting a clear picture of which ring size I actually needed -- e.g., when something was really uncomfortable overnight, it wasn't obvious to me if it was caused by wearing the wrong size ring or was a result of the inherent flaws of the design. Ultimately, when I ordered my current cage, I had to guess, and I wound up with a ring that was too small -- it was nice and snug during the day, but it was incredibly tight and uncomfortable when I would get an erection overnight. But since the metal cages only come with one size ring each, I was forced to order another one with the right size ring.

I should also mention that orders from lockthecock.com seem to take forever to arrive -- several of our orders took literally weeks to show up, and their tracking system for orders en route to you isn't that great. We later discovered houseofdenial.com, which ships much faster, despite being located in the UK (we live in the US). When I had to order the replacement cage to get the right size ring, I ordered from them, and it showed up in just a few days.

Anyway, I hope this info is helpful in some way. I suspect this is the kind of thing that everyone needs to do their own trial and error to see what works for them, so I'm not sure my specific recommendations will be useful. But hopefully, the narrative of how many things we had to try will give you some idea of how long it can take to find what works for you. Don't give up -- I'm sure you can find what works for you with enough trail and error.

For myself, I have now been wearing my cage for a couple of weeks now, and my wife only lets me out when she wants to play with me. I really love seeing the key she keeps on a chain around her neck, and I love how she teases me or makes me pleasure her without letting me out. I love when she gets me turned on and my cock strains against the cage -- I wouldn't trade this feeling for anything.

Good luck with your search!

So very informative...

I hope it was useful to someone!

Absolutely! All of the first hand accounts are very interesting as everyone has a slightly different path. We are currently trying limited use of the metal cage to learn what makes it work when it’s comfortable and what doesn’t when it’s painful. We’ve been looking at custom ones online and haven’t found any that seem better yet. The strange part is this cage we have is 90% perfect, it just needs to be slightly different.

OMG I'm so with you on this. I currently have a CB6000 and I can be okay with the pinch points, which aren't too bad on this model- the rings are way too small!

I even ordered their over-sized ring set, and I barely squeeze into the largest of the two. I figured my balls must be huge or something! I never found another brand that makes a larger ring than that, other than the custom made stuff, but anything in that range is $300+ and I'm not using it often enough to warrant that much $

I wish..

I will be ordering one right away... i really wish that there was a store where i could go try them on so i get the right unit... the right fit.. etc...

Mature metal has size rings they sell so you can buy the correct size easier. None of the off the shelf ones worked for me. I am bigger then normal. Mature Metal was the only one that would work with me.
I bought mine 8 years ago. Don't use it much now. But the tease play is better then ever the wife's way.
