A 2007 film with Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts...reminded me again of the various vacant areas of my education as the film is a fairly accurate portrayal of a real life Texas politician, and his epic endeavor to evict the Soviets from Afghanistan is a true story.

Such a deal.

A very good inspiring film. Referenced many times in my stories "A Step Up" and "Passion Ch.5".

Well, good time Charlie was a Democrat...perhaps they, in general, or in the coven, don't appreciate his efforts....dunno...but that is was a true story was news to me and the little trailer after the film was interesting also...

Aha! That would explain the hot tub scene. There is a hot tub scene, right? Or am I confusing it with another movie about democrats?

Yes, there's a hot tub scene in Charlie Wilson's War. To be fair, the movie makes Charlie Wilson out to be a much more central character in the Afghanistan endeavor than he was, but I guess that in a big-picture kind of way it tells the story.

Yes, hot tub and all and he, well in the film, admitted cocaine usage and his staff in the House office was always nubile young females...I liked the one called, "Jailbait", in the film...and he did like his whiskey....
