i don't know my way around THIS discussion board but i've been online a long time, years and years, from a time long before there were women in any great numbers in the slipstream. back then, all we had was this kinda communication .. no rt chat at all. i was heavily immersed in a MU for about a year (bayMOO), have spent time off and on and off and on in irc, and done my time in rt chats. i've done some BBS-type interactive story-telling, too, some with assigned characters, some with a more off-the-cuff aproach. i've written and net-published a few of my own stories (always BDSM tinged .. okay .. always laced *heavily* with BDSM themes). they've been published hither and yon, usually first in usenet, in alt.sex.stories. a handful have found thier way to the BDSM cafe, to the the short stories section they have there (http://www.bdsmcafe.com). they're in other story sites too .. not here. hmm .. maybe i should send a few in here? i've had this nick for years and i'm not changing it.

i have a real life too, believe it or not. though there have been times when i lived in my puter and my best friends were people i'd never met f2f, i've been there done that and i'm not doing it anymore.

i've begun to wonder, though, before i launch myself into yet another community, beginning yet another expenditure of energy and time and focus and care and sweat and laughter and tears .. all from me to you, all from my puter to yours .. do all net-written words just .. sorta .. finally .. bleed out into the slipstream to become a part of someone else's fevered ramblings some day down the road?
