Yes - It's me again - asking another question and hoping that it may be answered.
In the story I am creating, I want my character to read an e-mail, then respond to it, but I want the reader to be able to view the exact words of the e-mail. How do I accomplish this and allow the reader to know that it is a verbatim piece of correspondence?
The way that I currently have, is that I indented the paragraph that the e-mail is being read:
Tracy opened her e-mail from Mr. Silvertooth and read:
How much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck
could chuck wood?
She responded:
I think it depends on the size of the wood chuck's teeth.
Would the above be an accurate way to make the character read the e-mail, and respond to it while allowing the reader to read the same e-mail, verbatim?
