I would suggest submitting them as seperate pieces, titling them the same thing only adding Chapter X (with X being the appropriate chapter number). This way anyone looking at your profile for your stories will see it and know. That and it leaves readers wanting more, not to mention at the same time keeps interest because they may be too long as one story.SexyX said:If my story has a few chapters do I need to post them as seperate stories or is there some way to add a chapter on to the original story part? I agree with this. Make sure to make the titles identical and use the same format for the chapters so there's not chance that someone else could submit an identical story name and wind up with theirs in the middle of your chapters. The only thing is, don't forget to put Ch 1 in the first submission. I did that once and got a couple of complaints because people assumed I was just going to leave the story hanging.MrsDeathlynx said:I would suggest submitting them as seperate pieces, titling them the same thing only adding Chapter X (with X being the appropriate chapter number). Um...I think that would warn me off a story. As one lit page is about 10 regular pages, that would be 1000 or more page read! I've read books that long and longer, but rarely at a computer, going through a page a day (or week), with the story going on and on and on....oggbashan said:If you expect to write more than ten chapters, start the numbering with Chapter 01, not Chapter 1, unless you intend more than one hundred chapters, in which case Chapter 001 is the appropriate starting point.
Each chapter doesn't have to be much more than 750 words, which means that the 100-chapter epic could have a little over 75000, which is a normal-sized novel. 75000 words would mean a little over 20 Lit pages.3113 said:Um...I think that would warn me off a story. I think I'd pass on that.
