Hey All,

I'm in the process of putting up two novels on Lit, at the rate of about a chapter a week each.

I'm guessing someone has suggested this before - but it would be great to have a single 'landing' page for the series itself. That way, authors could post a single link to the overall work and not have to keep track of individual URLs every time a chapter is added.

Anyway - that's one feature I'd love to see.

Yep, you're right. It's been suggested. ;)

Though I don't know about anyone worrying about individual URL's. :)confused:) Most would just like to make sure chapters stay together even if the names change, to make it easier for the reader. And a couple of us wish that chaptered stories would collapse into a single "read" after a while. Chapters hog the Top Lists and make it harder to find new/different stories/authors.

Hasn't Lit. already put in new features recently that make series easier to find and track? There's a whole new index for series now here: http://www.literotica.com/series/. (your one URL could be to the series listing on this index page--which lists the parts. Clicking on the URL takes you to the first chapter. In a box to the right of the story here are links to all of the other parts of the series that have posted.)

And on the author's story listing page, series are now visually identified.

Seems the tools are already here.

That's true. I think I was thinking of when chapters have different titles, but writers just have to deal, I think. I never use the series index. Well, I haven't been reading much smut these days.

I love how you don't have to hunt for the next chapter while reading the current chapter. It's right there on the page.

Novels have had a chapter director since at least two years ago, when I started publishing.

The series index is more for 2~10 chapter works, but Novels show up there too.

Lit makes life easy for Mule Lopers.:D
