Earlier this year I posted a story ... that is in loving wives - when it should be non-consent.
What is the easiest way to make this change?

Make a note of the Lit ID# for the story. That's the number that appears at the end of the URL in the browser address bar when you view the first page of your story.

Start a new submission with the same title as the original ( or as much as will fit ) and append something such as *EDIT* to it.

Choose the new category, since that's what you're wanting to change. On an edit of anything else, you would use the same category as the original.

Fill in the other informational areas with placeholders, as they aren't important. Example for Description: Please Use Original Description

Since you aren't editing the story text, you can use that box to describe the change you want to make. Just make a note there that you want to change the category from Loving Wives to Non-Con.

In the "Notes" section, say the same thing. Putting something in this section draws special attention to it, in order to alert the moderators when necessary. It's a good idea to put the Lit ID# that you took note of earlier here, to eliminate any potential question about the story/chapter that you want changed.

It will be up to the moderators to determine if the change of category is appropriate.

You can assume that the edit will take the same amount of time as a regular submission to approve, though I have seen simple edits such as this go through much quicker -- less than 24 hours once. Just don't expect it to happen that quick, though it might pleasantly surprise you.

So long as you specify only the one change, everything else about the story will remain exactly as it was. That includes the score, votes, comments, etc.

Thanks ... I will do that
I wasn't worried about the scores so much .. but people who read it - said it belonged there instead of where it is now.
