Mesmerized by
midnight’s bejeweled raiment,
fiendish mind flies
upon the hem of her Hindi carpet.
Halo swallowed between saint
and sorcery.

Taken by sensuous bend of her body,
she begs me follow the gilded glitter
of her ruby cross
until the stain of my loins
flows into the trails of her treasure.

Yeah, it is a shame about the low participation but I understand that people are busy . I have been rather busy myself and didn't take part in the Space challenge although I wanted to(even had an idea).

I'm moving tomorrow. I might not get back the internet in time to announce the new winner. The poll should close by itself Wednesday. I'd really appreciate it if you could do the honors for me.

Actually I was supposed to close out the contest, but I have an adversity to patting myself on the back.

Quick question for everyone out there: What would everyone think about knocking all this back down to one challenge series at a time until the weather cools off and more folks come back in?

That works for me, only thing is, the other contest is beyond my skills.
I'll have to wait it out until that one is over, or better yet, why couldnt we do a two week contest for each, with the other one ending at the end of the seconds first week? Does that make sense or have I lost everyone?

That's basically what was happening before. I had given one of these contests an extra week because of low turnout, and the two of them ended up running together. I'm even thinking a once-a-month challenge would be the way to go ... ???

Is there even a contest going on at the moment? I can't find it if it is. Orrrrrr maybe I just overlooked something. I have to admit I've been super busy and unable to play lately, but I do always come by to see what the new contests are about and vote and stuff.

I don't believe there is at the moment. One of the contests had a tie and both winners came up with the ingredients for the next contest as being "blood and gore." I don't think anyone got too enthused about that one, or there just aren't enough people who care right now because of the time of year it is; warm weather, outdoorsy stuff to do, all that crap.

I won this contest and have a simple ingredient that was inspired by a fellow Litizen, but with all the low turnout I'm thinking that we'll either knock these challenges off for the summer/fall months, or go to a once-a-month challenge. The more I think about it the more waiting until the summer/fall month are over with seems like the better idea. No one is really screaming for these challenges right now anyway.

What are your thoughts?
