I'm Karen MacIntire, a 22 year-old college student, soon to graguate with a bachelor degree in teaching. I have long black hair, green eyes. I'm 36b-26-38.

OOC: May I join? Why does that voice over sound like Rod Serling?

We are always looking for new victims.

OOC stuff should be sent to OOC:Soap Opera.

I was thinking James Earl Jones for the voice over but Serling works too.

Andrea Cook

OOC: For stats on Andrea, see the OOC: Soap Opera thread.

IC: Andrea looked up from the layouts for the new advertising account for the hospital. She had made a bid for them months ago and had won them, supposidly due to the reasonable price and the reputation of her ad agency. She had suspicions though that the fact that Eva Beaville, daughter of Victor Long the hospitals most reknowned contributor and Centry Hill's richest man was her assistant played into her getting the account.

She sighed and rolled the layouts up and placed them into a cardboard tube for transport to the hospital. She had a meeting later on with the board of directors to present her ideas. They were quite good and Eva had turned out to be talented in the ad business. She guess she just resisted the thought that anything but her own talent and reputation had netted her the account.

Leaning over, she pressed the intercom to her assistant's desk,"Eva, will you come in here please." She was going to take her assistant to the meeting as she wanted to expose her to this side of the business as welll. She had even arranged her talk to the board to include Eva so as to give her a chance to learn the business first hand. She kept repeating to herself as she waited for Eva that she was not doing this to gain Victor's vote and, in fact, did not like the man very much because of how he manipulated people. She had to insist to herself that she was not doing the same thing with Eva-she was simply doing what any good employer would do in order for her assistant to learn.

Dr.Thomas Brunswick

"NO! I'm not going to lose another one. Not today!"

The 47 year old below me had crashed, his heart had stopped. Right in the middle of quintuple bypass.

"Paddles!" I scream "Charge to 250! Clear." I shock him

"Still nothing Doctor." Commented Sheila, A nurse.

"3500!" I scream

"You mean 350 right?" Asked Pat, another nurse "3500 would blow his heart through the floor." She had me there

"Right then 350. Clear!" still nothing. I guess I had to start compressions. I began to massage his heart, hoping to knead it back to life.

"C'mon, C'mon. Don't die on me." I yell

"Doctor, He's been under for 5 minutes." Russell, the Med Student who I had been teaching said.

"I don't care! I'm not going to give up on hi.... 5 minutes you say? Tag him and bag him then." I notice his bereaved Wife sitting anxiously in the OR waiting room.

"Ahhh this is the part of the job I hate." I say sadly

"Notifying next of kin?"

"No, Paperwork. I meant the paperwork that comes with losing a patient on the table. You're going to tell his wife Russ." I say peeling off the blood soaked gloves. I looked at my Rolex. 5:45. I can still catch a quick bite and make it to the club in time for the Scotch tasting, I thought. But who to go with? Andrea was probably still mad at me for last month and Else was probably unavailable, I thought, running down a mental list of the women in town I hadn't wronged but were attractive enough to meet my high(Or downright nonexistant come closing time) standards. Just then I notice a pretty little intern walking by.

"Hey Russ." I say removing my gown "Who's that girl?"

"Uhhhh, Lenore Cove I think. An intern. Nice lass."

"You're right. She does have a nice ass."

Raymond sat down at his desk and went over his paperwork which seemed to be piling up faster than he could get rid of it. He looked down at one of the forms in front of him and after he read it he knew that they needed the equipment and signed his name to the bottom of the document. Just then he heard a knock on the door and looked up to see the door open and his secretary walk in.

"Excuse me sir, but Mr. Matthews is here to see you."

"Oh good, send him in then," Raymond said as he got to his feet and walked out from behind the desk.

A man then walked into the room and Raymond walked up to him and shook his hand. He then led the man over to a couple of couches and sat down on one of them, looking at the man.

"So Roger, what good news do you have for me today?"

"Alot actually Raymond. You can get everything at lower than was quoted and they will send some specialists along with the equipment."

"That is excellent news.... now stay and have something to eat and drink. You look as though you could do with something."

Roger didn't say anything.... he knew not to as Raymond would have insisted and he knew that he would have eventually caved in anyway.

Lenore

Lenore walked down the hallway carrying the files she was supposed to deliver to the nurses' station. Her high heel shoes clicked on the floor...she wore them because it made her ass look tighter.

A cute doctor caught her eye and she winked. "So many doctors, so little time." She thought to herself.

She reached the nurses' desk and waited for the plump nurse behind it to get off the phone. While she waited she stared at the charming little cow print on the Nurse's smock.

"Really Margaret, I just didn't think I could handle the needle one more time. They just kept poking me and poking me. I will have bruises for months. Five vials just to do one little test . Now I am retaining water now like you just wouldn't believe."

Lenore got tired of waiting and slammed the files on the counter.

"Hold on a second Margaret, we have an intern here." The nurse rolled her eyes and looked at Lenore.
"Can I help you?"

Lenore's lips tilted up in a fake smile and said so very sweetly. 'Yes, I was told to bring these files here." She moved her head to one side. "At least I think I was supposed to bring it here. They said the desk with the cows behind it." She pushed the files toward the nurse.

"Now if you'll excuse me," Lenore said, still smiling. "I think I need to go get poked, and its not with a needle."
She walked down the hall smiling.

Dr. Brunswick

Russ and I take the elevator down to the 4th floor. Hmmmmmm. Which lucky young thing will be going out with me tonight, I wonder. Walking to the rexeptionist I sign out and change out of my smock. Just then I notice the young intern that Russ had pointed out to me.

"Damn what was her name?" I mutter. Uhhhh Lisa??? No, thats the cute girl working in the cafeteria.

"Lenore!." I yell, pleased that my brain had remembered.
The pretty young blonde turned her head. I flashed my famous 100 watt grin.

"Hi I'm....Dr. Brunswick. Head of Surgery." I say trying to turn on my (semi) legendary charm.

"Yes and....." she said, somewhat distracted.

"Wellllllll. I was wondering if you're off and I'm off maybe we could take in dinner and then I have tickets to a Scotch tasting at the Country Club. Interested??."

"Why me?" she asked, giggling.

"Well I take all of the young Meds here out for dinner once." I reply. It was true to a point. All the attractive female Med Students happened to have dinner with me at some point.

"So you in?" I ask again

Lenore

"Ok. Just let me go get out of these clothes and into some normal clothes." She looked him up and down and decided that he was a good start at least.
"I'll meet ya in the parking garage in about fifteen minutes, ok?"

Raymond and Roger walked down to the elevator after their meeting and as they passed the desk Raymond turned to his assistant and said, "I'll be gone for a little while. If anyone wants to come and see me tell them that please."

"I will do that sir."

The two of them walked into the elevator and rode it down to the ground floor where the first person they saw was Dr. Brunswick but he looked like he was preoccupied with an intern at the moment. They walked past him to the main doors where Raymond led Roger to his car and said, "Where do you wish to go?"

"Just to the hotel. I am extremely tired at the moment sorry to say."

"Hey, don't be."

They then got into Raymond's car and drove out of the carpark.

Hot diggity dog! I thought as I wide grin spread across my face

"Oh sure." I said regaining my attitude of nonchalance.
"I'll just wait out here in the waiting room. Hey, I just got that!"

"Ummm Doctor" Russ started "Not to spoil your fun but you did say you'd help me with my charts."

"Put a sock in it Ray." I said annoyed. Lenore was walking to the staff lounge to change and I was trying to scope out her ass

"Russ, sir"

"Listen Roy I don't care who you want to put a sock into." I shot back as Lenore disappeared behind the swinging door "I've got a date tonight."

Lenore

I went to my locker, which is twice as big as anyone else's I might add, and quickly push through all of the clothes hanging on a rod.

"No... wore that one to the Doctor's Day Benefit. No... wore that one to the nurses ball. This one to that old guy's funeral. Damn I know I have something in here." Finally I found the slinky red dress that I was going to wear to that luncheon for whats her name, the doctor that left. I had decided she wasn't worth getting that dressed up for, so I had just stashed it in my locker.

I stripped off my clothes at lightning speed. Slipped on the dress with no bra underneath, and reapplied some makeup where it was needed.

"Not bad at all." I said to myself as I took one more look and dashed out to meet the doctor.
