(this question is prefaced by a story. Please bear with me)
There's a lovely part of Leather Pride Week here in Portland called Leather Tastings. The group in charge of the event set up a large room with about a dozen or so different sections, each one filled with separate BDSM experiences. There was sensory dep, where they were willing to blindfold you, stuff your ears, hood you, wrap you from head to toe, and let you experience being cut off for however long you negotiated. There were different types of impact toys, a foot washing station, needles, shibari, suspension, and the one that caught my eye first FIRE PLAY.
May I please point out that if you're a hairy man, and there's a fire play demonstration station, you should do everyone a favor and go home and shave before trying it out?
Anyways, I tried out a lot of the stuff I hadn't experienced before. Except the needles, I HATE needles.
The violet wand left marks on me for three days. Up and down my arms, along my cleavage. My PYL of the moment (
) was sort of irritated by that.
The fire play was AWESOME. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it.
The person offering the fire play offered something else at the end. Something I'd heard very little about, although I HAD heard of it: Cell Popping.
He looked me in the eye and described the cell popping briefly. He would heat up a sharp pointy stick (that's my definition of the tool) and touch it to my skin. It would burn the skin, causing the cell to explode, and make my body think that I was under some sort of hostile attack. Happy feelings would explode from my brain, and I would feel floaty.
Ideally, the mark from the cell popping lasts two months. However, the gentleman looked me up and down and said that in my case, it would undoubtedly scar, and would I like to try it anyways. I passed.
Saturday night I was given the opportunity to watch two people go through the process of having designs of their choice burned into their flesh using this technique. I went straight into play afterwards, and didn't have the opportunity to ask them about their experiences, and now I'm dying of curiosity.
Has anyone here experienced this?
What was your experience like, and would you recommend it?
Did the mark fade away like it's 'supposed' to, or did it stay?
Were you happy with the result?
Anything else?
Inquiring minds (mine) want to know.
