Cell Phone Disasters

*hugs* Sarah. Once dropped my phone in a pint... byebye phonebook >.<

My old phone, I bought $ 35 blue tooth adaptor for my computer, and could download the phone book for protection.

My new phone has bluetooth, but *#@$@! Verizon blocks doing anything with it other than to run a headphone. But for $2 a month, they'll download 20 names for you from your book.

I'm looking into cables and then using free software at http://www.bitpim.org

Sorry to hear it. I think there's a way to keep a backup copy of your address book on your computer, not that I've done it.

eta: Well, Ted beat me too it while I was typing.

I keep all phone numbers written on paper. (Same as with E-Mail Addies.) This is my ultimate back-up.

I have had phones die from falling out of my pocket and getting run over. From being dropped in the toilet, and once from being dropped overboard.

I have also had computers die for any number of reasons.

I like to have that last backup of important information.
