okay, this is just an opinion

Why do celebreties deem it their responsability to tell people how to think? I'm so sick of these celebrities who write leters to the president, or make commercials telling us how nice saddam is... Is there a list somewhere that lists these celebrities? I know not all celebrities are for the war, but most who are not aren't doing these things. People I really liked too. Now I can barely watch them without cringing with disgust.

Only a complete moron thinks celebrities' opinions are more valuable than other people's. Unfortunately, the world is full of morons.

Point your finger over at Junior G-man Jimmy Woods too.

Except he always comes off sounding like a blithering idiot when he opens his mouth.

I think you're talking about the Politicians, there. They'll most likely listen to the "celebrities", before the the regular joe off the streets.

Wow... I guess if you become famous, you shouldn't have a political opinion.

So I guess in your America, freedom of speech and freedom of assembly don't apply to those who are recognizable.

P.S. I guess people shouldn't protest the war, in case you cringe.

If you're referring to me, Spin, you've got it all wrong. I disagree with the POV to which you refer. I'm just sick of self-important famous people, and the dipshits who worship them.

No, Spinaroonie, Celebrities should have their opinions. Unfortunately, their opinions are stupid. And exceedingly unfortunately, they have the resources to have their opnions published En Masse. And as stated in my first post, this is just my opinion, so get over it.

Ahhhhh, so people shouldn't vocalize their opinions if they're stupid according to someone else. I get it!

And yet another example of a really well thought out, even handed and responsible post...

One which will probably be remembered along with the writings of Shakespeare for the pure magic of its prose...

:p

Because they can. Seriously, people in general will use whatever they have at hand to try to convince other people their opinions are the correct ones. I do it all the time; I can write, I can debate, I have the internet - so I use those resources to try to move people over to my side of the aisle. Unfortunately, most people worship fame rather than clear thinking - human nature unfortunately.

Oh, and spelling buddy says "celebrities" and "responsibility".
