Since this is the week to celebrate and honor love, I thought we needed a thread to run the course of the week to talk about love. Not just romantic love, but all kinds of love.

So stop in and tell us what love means to you. Who do love, how and why?

Also, I think it would be a great place to post your favorite love and friendship quotes or poems to share them with others this week.

Hiya Enjoying sweety!! What a wonderful idea for a thread, ty!!
I guess its quite obvious by now that I am totally and madly in love with Dracoa ..He is a very special sweet , loving man who has filled my heart in so many ways that I cannot even begin to count them all.
He is a great listener , and awesome friend , a gentleman , honest and very respectful. He is very Passionate and affectionate
where a woman needs him to be,if ya know what I mean
I thank God for him each and everydayand I feel very lucky and blessed to have him in my life, he has taught me to appreciate that real relationships just may take awhile to developand I hope I stand the test of time cause he sure is well worth waiting for ..

ty very much hun and yes indeed it is , we are meeting for the 2nd time on March 9th and I swear I am even more nervous than I was the 1st time!! I think its also wonderful if you share things in common and both have a sense of humor, I pretty much wear my heart on my sleeve where my feelings are concerned but Dracoa has helped me to stay more settled and become a little more logical I think...things I needed badly.. No matter how far or not our relationship does Go ,I know I have a friend for life in him indeed, and that is something that we can never have too many of .. Love is a precious , sweet treasured thing and I guess I just feel we need to express it as often as we should and not keep it inside for none of us knows how long we really have , ya know?

Yes, I Dream know just what you mean about expressing love often. I think it really it is crucial to any relationship to let the other know how you feel, whether it's romantic love or friendship love.

I thought I'd share a few of my poems during the week. I hope others will too.

Nightly Rituals...
An Expression of Love

Each night before we fall asleep,
we share those special words
Whispered ever so sweetly
and meant only for each other

You hold my body next to yours
as your lips softly caress my skin
I hold my breath as I wait to hear
“Good night, my love.”

It seems to take forever
before I can even breathe
I bask in all the warmth and love
your tender words bring to me

We slowly shift our bodies,
my lips move ever near to you
I hold you close and whisper back
“Good night, Darl’n.”

And then I know my day is done,
I can rest in blissful slumber
There is no greater peace than this
As we express our love

Right now I have no romantic love in my life, and I just found out I was sadly mistaken in my last romantic attachment, so I won't comment on that sort of love... but I do have a love

He is my everyday constant companion... he's small, but large hearted, ugly but beautiful to those who know him...playful, funny and friendly.. he loves everyone, especially me and my family and friends... He's my sweet little boy, my Jasper, my dog... he's always is waiting by the door for me in the evening when I come home and he is always glad to see ... he gives the best kisses, even when I am down... or sick...his love is unconditional and ever there, never predicated on what I can do for him (well except for a few treats now and then)... he cuddles in my lap on the couch and jumps into my arms when I am on the computer... he sleeps next to me at night... and as he goes to sleep he takes one contented sigh.... and it all begins again the next morning...
