I foresee three discrete methods to prepare for apocalypse.

1. Loosen clothes, bend over, place head between legs, kiss ass good-bye.
2. Stock a well-defended site with food, weapons, ammo, drugs, resources.
3. Identify leaders threatening nuclear war. Take them out and shoot them.

The CDC may have other options but tl/dr. I'll stick with my list.
