They will never change. I stopped watching CBS News (as well as NBC and ABC news) about twenty years ago. Aside from their pompous, humorless presentation, they spent too much time beating the drum about how awful Cancer, Cholesterol and Cigarettes were. And other "news" was really promos for all the left wing activist groups out there. About ten years ago, I switched to one of the above three network news shows to see if the had changed their ways. Filling the screen was a frying pan filled with sizzling bacon; a reporter's voice was intoning something about cholesterol. Nope, no change.

I didn't watch long enough to see if they ended their broadcast as they did when I was a viewer. Just before the last commercial on Friday evening, an announcer would tell everyone to stay tuned for a glimpse of the Monday evening "news!" They got away with that for years; maybe they still do.

Katie Couric is a hot babe. It might be fun to spend a weekend with her in a cheap motel.

I started a Thread over on the real forum concerning women in the News, it isn't being much appreciated, ho-hum, it is so hard to educate people...sighs...

That women use their sex for advancement is not a new concept, it can even be portrayed in books and movies, but we are not allowed to speak of it...taboo...

An aside here, as I watched an episode of NCIS tonight, again, the one where Gibbs returns to his home town, his father, where and how he grew up, meeting his future wife, I am sure you know it...but...being a sentimental old shit, I teared up, again, upon watching the story unfold even though I knew the whole thing...and, I want to say...congratulations for being a part of that show, it is truly classic and memorable and whoever had the insight to write those lines and interweave the plot, back and forth and back again to draw upon the emotions, was truly a gifted artist and writer.

It has been an honor to know you...even from a distance...all my best regards to you and yours...

I'm afraid you're in for some disappointment 'roomfor1more' especially about Glen Beck. Rumor has it that he bought CBS for 1 penny on the dollar and is changing its format to a new religious scheme. Many people are waiting with bated breath. It will change its appearance. No more naked women delivering the news.

... and just to satisfy my curiosity; Is Sarah Palin "decisive" ?; or did you mean "devisive"?. Some small difference there you know, look 'em up.
