CBS and $30K for a Puppy Snuff film

Just curious if anyone else was disturbed by the fact that CBS news paid over $30,000 for the various videos recently aired, one in particular the graphic torture-slaying of a puppy having nerve agents tested on it......I'm no tree-hugger nor am I a rabid member of PETA but I do care about animals and any act of cruelty, foreign or domestic is a unacceptible to me. I would think after seeing the WTC fall in NYC and the loss of life there the media would not need to stoop to this new low to make sure we understood who our enemies are or why we have troops deployed around the world hunting them. All it brought home to me was that the horrible death of a puppy was newsworthy in the name of patriotism and network ratings.....God help us all.....

It is CNN and I disagree with everything you said, they report information. The tapes were information that much of the public is interested in seeing. Pay for the tapes and play them-I'd rather see snuff than fluff.
