Caution: Slippery when wet

So what is everyone's favorite lube? And for which activity? Anal? Oral? Intercourse? Hand job? Strap on? Foreplay? Silicone based? Water based? Gallon sized? Travel size?

There's about a billion choices out there.

Right now I'm working my way through a jar of virgin pressed coconut oil.
It's great stuff! I like it better than any of the silicone glides that I've used. Stays slippery for the longest time, no infections.

It's getting pavlovian-- I smell coconut and start sliding off the chair... :D

Conditioned responses in women are less frequent then in men ,coconut oil is a great lube for all seasons.Mustard oil is better

Aren't oils a no-no with condoms?

Some people say they have no problem with coconut oil. Petroleum based oils are a genuine latex-eater, but not all vegetable oils. it's easier to say "no oil!" when you're trying to get an entire population to change habits regarding safe sex, than to say "No oil but we haven't tested them all."

And personally, I don't use condoms all that often-- gloves, though. And saran wrap. ;)

Yes I know you don't.
I was specifically told no coconut oil (I too love the smell) at a sex shop and they didn't try to sell me lube but instead, offered some free samples of all natural lubes.

Just wanted to throw condoms into the discussion for those that need them, carry on slippery people.

My current lube of choice has been Sliquid's Sassy Booty, but I recently tried their Silk and it is niiiiiice. But it's a silicone hybrid so no good for silicone toys... although I patch-tested it on my Tantus gear and it held up, so yeah. (thumbs up)

Mustard oil sounds scary, though I guess if it is as burny as mustard itself this is the place to bring it up! >.>

To be honest I'm a pretty naturally lubricated person so I've never experimented too much with lubes outside of anal play so far and the odd grippy silicone toy. I have used pure aloe vera gel but that's the only non-classic lube I've ever used.

In addition to the excellent suggestions and discussion that will no doubt occur in this thread, several other discussion threads have slid through this same topic before. One of my favorites is this one, which seems to have covered most of the bases.

silicone-based lubes (my fave was i.d. millenium) are best for actual sexual activity, imo. however i think my lube days are over, those who use me seem to prefer me in pain.

I'm thinking here... this might be because they can't have you in orgasm?

We generally want a reaction out of those we are intimate with. You've said that you do not feel an orgasm during getting fucked (which is true for a lot of women actually) and are deeply embarrassed by the times when you even come close.

But people want reactions. And the moans and cries of pain are kinda similar to those of pleasure.

Just exploring the thought.

MY favorite lubes are:
vaginal secretions, saliva and precum in that order!

I only use lube for anal sex and silicone-based lubes seem to work best for us for that.

:rose:

oh totally. i learned many years ago that my little whimpers and grimaces of pain are as gratifying to my partners as moans of joy and Os galore are to the "normal" man. they do need the human response, so an involuntary reaction to pain will do.

(btw i have experienced orgasms in my life, though very few and sometimes years in-between, and they have always been the result of hard, deep intercourse or throatfucking.)

Just found Hydra Smooth cream lube. Unfortunately we only got a sample pack as it is currently being reformulated and will not be available again until the end of the month. It also works as a moisturizer so it is gone come morning instead of almost sliding off the toilet seat. The little bit we used lasted a long time and felt great--closest to natural lube that we've found.

There was this Pjur silicon cream in a black tub that was great. And Gun oil was a favourite for a long time. Ultrasound gel stuff is pretty great too (sigh, I miss working with medics).

I personally prefer ones that are completely tasteless and odourless. Most adult shop staff are very good about letting me taste test the products before buying.

M prefers the thick runny types. Right now we're working our way through a very large bottle of wet stuff. Not my favourite, but He likes it.
