Causes of enjoying incest stories?

I would like to know the causes of enjoying incest stories, what do you think? Personally, I found out I like them because of the intimacy, mostly sibling stories because of the same ages (somewhat important for me). But I never considered loving my sis or parent..and I still don't do that, not even slightly. But I enjoy the stories.

Except the intimacy, I have no idea. What's your thought about this?

Also it's a controlled, structured fantasy usually designed towards a mutually positive sexual outcome for everyone involved.

A lot of things work better as a fantasy, but incest only works in fantasy.

It's because of the Taboo nature of the relationship. Most people who like (read my stories for example) the incest stories also like the May/December romance stories, the husband with the babysitter stories and the pastor/priest/teacher/boss etc stories where people end up in a sexual tryst or relationship with someone they shouldn't. eh?

on a personal note writing an incest story completely killed the appeal for me. spending all that time trying to justify why someone would actually fuck a sibling or a parent just left me feeling all icky inside.
