Cats

Hi Kcar - Thanks for the heads up that you were going to post more of your art. These are lovely - I simply love your method and style.

*looking around cautiously and checking to make sure I'm in the right thread this time ...*

Ooooooooooohh ... I get it now. Kcar is setting up a variety of little portfolio threads all over the forum. Prolific little minx, you. :rose:

Hahahaha!! Someone suggested that I make seperate threads, because it's easier for people to see several drawings without having to wade through 5-8 pp in one thread.

*giggle* Some of you have far more work than I do - another reason I want to display them gradually. Most of my drawings were sold long ago, and I have no record of them. We didn't have a camera that worked at many points during the last 20 yrs.

Thankyou, HnH! You sweetheart. ;)

Love the cat pics Kcar!

Especially the first one. The cat is beautifully done and I love the oriental, fantasy feel to the whole picture.

If you ever need a live model, I'm available, even though far away. ;)

Thankyou for making your way over ere, MM.

I much appreciate your taking the time to leave a comment. :rose:

Hehehe...and a beautiful specimen you are. I've seen your pics. But I don't do male nudes very often. ;)

Hahaha!

Do you own cats? I wondered because you came into this particular thread. :)

I have had several over the years. Currently have one small female named Sweet Pea. A feral kitten we rescued at a very young age.

But I stopped because primarily because I saw your name on it. I like your work and wanted to see the cat pictures. :D

How cool of you to take in a feral kitten...and what a cute name you gave her. We have 6 cats. They're so hilarious - and so affectionate! :D

How did you know me? From the General Board? I'm glad we've met.

EDIT: Do you have pics of your kitten?

We thought she was dead when we found her. She had been injured. Small enough to fit in the palm (just the palm) of your hand. Had to bottle feed her every two hours for several weeks. She's over three YO now.

I just decided to go back and look at the artist's corner again. Hadn't been by in a while and found a couple of your threads a week or two ago. Liked your work.

I clicked that picture up of Pea and just melted! She's got that white mask that I so adore in cats, and her eyes are beautiful. And those sweet little paws! *giggle*

She was that young when you found her - and injured? :( Did someone hurt her or was she abandoned by someone? Or had mom not been able to care for her anymore?

What had happened to her? I mean, was her injury easy to see?

I applaud you for taking her in, MM! And feeding her all of that time? Wow. o_O

Thanx for droppin in then (here)! :rose:

Ex girlfriend's parents fed about 40 to 60 feral cats (it varied a lot) on their back patio in rural Arkansas every day. The mommas would bring their kittens up when they got old enough and they would get in the habit, too.
Also, if one of the kittens died young or was very sick the mommas would bring the body up and lay it on the patio.
We don't know how it happened (probably preditor related, either from the preditor or from her mother running through the woods with her in her mouth) but she had the skin ripped badly on her throat and didn't appear to be breathing when we went out to look at her. But the girlfriend touched the kitten and she saw a nostril twitch and we brought her in and started caring for her right away.
Thank goodness the local feed store had kitten formula and tiny nursing bottles and we cleaned the wound and covered it in antibiotic cream. :D

She's a tiny cat. Those floor squares are six by six.

That would have broken my heart to see such a little one hurt that way! Ya did good! She REALLY is small. o_O
