Cats / Part 2

The first two are watercolor, yes?

Love all three, by the way. More?

Thanx, HnH!

The third is my siggy for the month of October! *giggles* You're not the first to think that...I'll have to find a way to make him to look more like a signature.

The first two are done in gouache, which is a thicker, denser water based paint for designers. I like it cause it was a change from watercolors, and easier to handle...I'm thinking of going back to watercolors though.

Hokay! More kitties:

This first is a pair of circling cats in the crotch of a tree. The symbol for growth and life (for me) is the spiral. The stark white branch blocking the entire tree and her playful cats represents the harm that the Catholic Church brought on me as a little one. I was born in '55, so things were weird back then, and my 100-strong family (70 cousins) made it worse. They were more or less a cult, one that I didn't want to belong to. We all lived on the same 110-acre compound.

I don't think this one needs an explanation: :D
