I'm working on a story about a relatively minor female celebrity (quite famous in a certain limited circle) in which she and her sister and sister-in-law go off for a "Girls Weekend" and, well, this is Literotica, after all.

The female celebrity and her sister-in-law are married (the sister-in-law is married to her brother), the sister is not.

When it's ready, do I post it in Celebrities and Fan Fiction or in Loving Wives?

My understanding is that "Celebrities" is a "trump" category -- if you use a real celebrity (minor or not), I think the story needs to go there.
Other authors correct me if Ive got that wrong

Correct, but the obvious answer here is for the OP to create a fictional celebrity. You could 'base' it on a real person, but the with a name change and so forth.

If the story is about a known (even if obscure) celebrity, then it's a Celebrity and Fan Fiction. If it's about a fictional celebrity, put it into the primary category for whatever makes it erotic. Which from this description could be Lesbian, Group, Incest, or Erotic Horror aka a Kardashian story.

Hope you don’t mind me reviving this thread but I’d love a clarification.

Do you have any idea whether any distinction is made between:
- simply making reference to a real person,
- including them as a character in the story but without any sexual content, and
- of course, having them as a character and depicting them in some sexual situation?

If you wrote that one of your characters had once had a relationship with, say, Juliette Binoche but she doesn’t actually feature in the story any more than that, would that put the story automatically into the Fan Fic/Celeb category?

Any thoughts much appreciated. Thanks.

Someone else may disagree, but I would say that minor characters, if really minor plot wise, do not force the category in my mind.

In my last story that is published (I have one in pending hell) was a comedy piece and Princess Stephanie makes a cameo appearance as part of a joke. That part of the story did take place in Monaco. Even though she is a real person and a reasonable celebrity, I did not put that in fanfic/celeb. It stayed fenced off in humor where it belonged, its bad puns unable to infect the rest of the site.
