Not entirely sure where to post this, so this may be in the wrong forum.

I just recently noticed that my first story, which went up on the site about two weeks ago, was categorized as "illustrated." It does, after all, have an illustration. The trouble is, it only has the one. This is how most of my stories are: There is a single illustration at the beginning followed by something like thirty thousand words of pure text. If there are more illustrations after the first, they're probably not erotic or romantic.

So, probably I should remove the illustrations before uploading. Which is too bad, because I like the illustrations, but people go to the illustrated category for fully illustrated stories and when they get mind they will not be satisfied. Here's the issue: I have that one story that's already illustrated, and another one that's now pending that also has an illustration. These are two parts to a series, and I'd like that series all in one category. Uploading a (gigantic) story that is word for word identical to another story, just with the illustration removed to get the category switched, doesn't seem like a great idea. Worst case scenario I can just upload future stories to other categories and hope people use my author page to find the complete set. Does anyone have any advice for other options, though?

You're probably best off PMing Laurel to see if it's possible to post these stories outside Illustrated.

(If you hear back, let us know? I've been considering a story with one or two non-sexy illustrations myself.)

Me too. I'd love a one image "cover" illustration the way Wattpsd is set up

Nice name. I remember when that series first came out. It sold out fast and value went way up and that was before people knew it was Stephen King's son that wrote it.

Stories with images have been posted to other categories before. If you want to maintain the images but not have the stories posted to the illustrated category, you'll have to work it out with Laurel in advance. It is a bit of an extra pain, so there's no guarantee that she'll agree.

Coming to report back now that the situation is resolved: I uploaded an edited version of the story that had an image disclaimer at the top followed by a long enough break that the image wouldn't load unless a user scrolled down. The story has since been recategorized to a more appropriate category.
