I am a straight female. I have dallied in the past with other women... But if i had to categorize myself i would say i am definitely a straight female.

I found myself perusing the "naughty massage" stories and ended up reading a post about a male masseuse, thinking his client would be female. Eventually it turned out to be male, normally, i would have closed the story and moved onto the next. However, the writer was very good, and never having actually read a gay story before, and being a new author on here, i thought i would give it a read just to see if i could write this sort of thing. It turns out, i actually got turned on. Now I don't get turned on by two guys. watching it in porn makes me feel a little grossed out (but then i get grossed out watching two girls and I have done that, so please don't assume this makes me homophobic). But the writing was superb, and the story very believable.

I decided to try it out again, and this time plucked a female couple with the massage theme (possibly by the same author, i'm not sure). And found myself still turned on (although more so).

This got me thinking about the fact i have been reading stories on here and elsewhere for years, and have never actually read a gay (MM or FF) one, and normally i just switch.

If you guys and gals who dont like reading gay material come across it (no pun intended) when reading a long term story that has come in chapters and you really liked it, do you continue to read?

I am thinking about throwing a FF scene into a chapters story, say about 10 chapters in, but dont want current readers to get put off. What are your ideas folks?

Some FF tends to appeal to straight male readers, as does some FF picture and video erotica.

It isn't because the male is gay, but because two young beautiful women obviously enjoying themselves is attractive. Probably the reader/viewer can also think "What if?" and imagine themselves with or between the women.

There is also the ridiculous idea held by some men that by fucking one of the women he can turn her into a heterosexual woman who has the hots for him. As long as that is recognised as a fantasy, why not? We can all have impossible fantasies that are arousing.

Whether MM appeals to women? I'm not equipped to answer that. My guess is that the appeal would be much less than FF is to men.

I'm a straight woman. I love MM in a story, especially if I wasn't expecting it. I don't recommend that though. I agree that more readers would enjoy (or tolerate) a FF surprise.

You could mention it in an intro if you're concerned.

Just finished reading Laurell K. Hamilton's latest Anita Blake book - which is clearly directed at a female audience - and it contains several scenes where the main protagonist enjoys and gets off watching two attractive guys making out.

The fact that a main stream urban fantasy writer like Hamilton writes MM scenes into her books tells me that a sizeable percentage of women must like them. Straight guys probably to a lesser degree.

I'm not hpmophobic, I'm homopredatory. Why is a long story but suffice it to say politics is its heart and soul. I want then to burn in hell and eat Spam for every meal.

Anyway, readers enjoy anything you can imagine; I think same-sex action is like most forms of violence or danger or challenge...its more fun to watch than to do. One of the most fascinating things I ever observed was the surgical reconstruction of a young girls skull, especially her face. The surgeons did their work like I'd peel a pot of potatoes, yet what they did was miraculous. The girl was horriblydeformed, and they cut and sawed and put the jigsaw puzzle back together with a wonderful new picture.

I wouldn't wanna try it.

FF certainly appeals to me but I get nothing form the "professional" lesbian. I much prefer a story line that incorporates innocence and seduction, acceptance and enjoyment.

Thank God for modern medicine but I fail to see how re-construction of a skull has anything to do with the gentle massaging of a clit by another female, especially one that I intend to join in massaging. :)

Now THAT was unexpected!

I'm a straight male. I have been kissed by men before and felt nothing. I don't feel disgusted, but I do not feel attraction either. I reserve my "worship" for the female body...

I enjoy unexpected FF, and I don't freak out if there is unexpected MM. I might even be excited by "proxy" -- say, if there is a female character watching, and she enjoys it...That's enough for me. ;)

However, you might want to prepare your nerves before adding unexpected MM in a story. Most straight men won't like it...at all. So it's an open invitation for trolls.

One way to do it is to "ease" your readers into it. For instance, in a long(ish) story, you can drop hints in advance that some MM might happen at some point, without diving into it immediately. It has been done successfully (PM me if you're interested in reading that). If you're planning on something short, then perhaps a clear warning in an author note at the start of the story might be in order, though that unfortunately spoils the story a bit... :(

Try watching the movie 'hanna'

It's a good movie on it's own right. (think 'jason bourne' if he had been a sixteen year old girl, and y'know, good) but I think that it did young sapphic love better than any other movie I've ever seen.

Most of the times when a girl makes out with another girl in a mainstream movie it feels male-gazey, and gross, and not really emotional. Hanna did it better.
