OOC: A world before man. A time when magic was life and life wasn't magic yet. Since the start there are those that live as punishment. There are otehrs that live simply to live. Some even live so others may live.

Unless you don't mind waiting for a good portion of the story you won't be able to play as man or woman. Instead you play as one of three types of creatures.

Devil/Angel: Take your pick of name they are the same. Typicly they have some form of magic. Some back it up with weapons or phisical strength. But msut rely on magic.

Undead: Zombies aren't what I'm talking about here. Skelitons are the same, these two groups are most likely mindless and in eitehr case can't be made from humans. What may suprise you is Golems and magical constructs fall in here. The group is varied among magic and phsyical power as wellas thos that have died once and came back such as vampires (Not human ones) and those that were never alive to begin with.

Plants and animals: Animals and plants were alive before man. Some deid out in order to make room for man. Others simply hide and wait tehre time. Levithan a great sea dragon waits for the end of the world and the one that can kill it.

When a war is fought or a story is told one side becomes good another evil. In truth neither side is good or bad until one side wins.

This story is before mankind created the forces of good and evil. It is the story of the start of the world and the creation of man.

Name: En
Type: Undead: Void Elemental
Gender: None
Build: Humanoid
EyeColor: silver
Hair: silver
Descrition. En looks male and like a human male. He how ever is genderless like most constructs and angels. His creator fashioned this form because it was convient at the time, but still this form does hint at the things to come.

Age: Time has yet to begin.

Bio: En's life weather sort or long has been a curse of confusion. He has always asked questions like why can't I rember before I existed? If I'm not alive how do I even rember. Do I want to be alive? How come I have substance if I am void? Why can I control my body so well was my mind made for this form? What if my form changes do I lose this control?

The one who forged En has yet to do anything with him (Him used based on apearence). En's maker was suprised by his questioning behavior and has yet to do anything for or agaisnt it.

I have no problem with that. Cactuses are only people too.

I don't actually want to play, but I thought I would make some angels that could be used by others or as NPC's these are "actual" angels from various religious texts. Few details so they can be developed later.

Name: Baradiel
Gender: Male
Race:Angel

Description: Mutable, the Third Book of Enoch describes him as one of the "Seven great, beautiful, wonderful, and honored princes." Baradiel initially appears as a muscular male looking humanoid with no genetelia or facial features and 37 pairs of wings.

Background: Baradiel is amongst the mightiest angels in the heavenly host though he is but dust compared to Gabriel, Lucifer, Michael, or Raphael. Still he holds dominion over the third heaven and is attended by a host of 496,000 ministering angels. It is given unto him as it is to the other seven princes to guide the progress of the world (once it is created). Once such a thing exists, he will also command the fury of hail storms.

Name: Bat Qol
Gender: Undetermined, typically female
Race: Angel

Description: Bat Qol appears as whatever is necessary.

Background: One of the angels that cast their voice in God's place. It is she who will ask Cain, "Where is thy brother, Abel?"

Name: Flaef
Gender: Undetermined
Race: Angel

Description: Flaef has no true form but may appear as a sequence of Cabbalistic numbers.

Background: Flaef is an angelic luminary who studies human sexuality.

Name: Zephon
Gender: Male
Race: Angel

Description: As the Guardian Prince of Paradise, Zephon is likely to be filled with the glory of God.

Background: Zephon is the Guardian Prince of Paradise, the sixth Sefira and one of the Cheribum. He is charged with finding Satan along with his comrade Ithuriel.

I apreaceat the angels Bunnies. But one of the goals I was going for is to keep people from knowing what side there on. Because good and bad are simply aplied from outside sources. This fight has no good or evil, because neither side exists yet.

I think it's a great plot idea not to know weather your on the good side or the bad side, soa t the end you'll be suprised you were on the wrong side or happy you got lucky.

A very good idea.... if your going by religious ideas, this was before the fall of the angels (you know, befor Eden was made) so there is no bad or good, right? I like this idea... I have a character, just want to know some more info before posting it. Ill probably go for an angel type thing, the problem is that I dont see how the devil/angel charcters will interact with plants and things of the sort... animals make sense, but I dont see how you can RP a plant and an angel.

I was kind of thinking of the plants as being animate plant spirits. Like the cactus would be The Cactus, able to move through cacti everywhere. Such a creature would be interest to angels, I guess, but what they will have to talk about, we'd have to wait and see!

Plants and animals have souls too. To make things interesting it'll be like swamp said. A colective spirit, that knows all of what is said around one. One cactus might over here one angel speaking to another. Even though I can't think of anything else off hand I'm sure swamp has other uses in mind.

No.. I mean, how can plants knowing anything have any effect when there is no good or evil? I'm sorry, but you can't have a story where there is no protagonist or antagonist..... you have to have them or there is no story.

Down the page a bit is a poll I posted about what people would like to play.

In it is a dung beattle torture reference.

I think that in life, and in much great literature, there is no clearly defined good or evil. There are just people making choices, and justifying those choices to themselves or to each other. Really, almost everyone considers themselves to be "good", or at least, very few people consider themselves to be "evil" (unless they're fifteen and listening to a lot of death metal, not that there's anything wrong with that).

"Good" is relative, it's just people on your side, people who believe what you believe. I get frustrated with fantasy stories where it's alright (even heroic) for "good guys" to go around killing people (or trolls, or whatever) because the people they kill are "evil". Life is not that simple, and thinking that it is has caused the world a lot of problems.

Lots of great stories don't require good or evil at all. In romances, for instance, it rarely comes up (who is good or evil in "Romeo and Juliet"? Just a bunch of confused, misguided people who each think they are doing the right thing)

Assuming that plants are active and animate, they are just one more kind of character making choices, and can come into all kinds of interesting conflicts. Why don't we try it and see?

I don't know if this is what Cats' thread is meant to be dealing with at all. If my cactus idea is keeping people from joining the story, I'd be happy to play something else, like an angel.

Or a fern.

Swamp touched on it in what he said, but hopefully I can be even clearer.

This story does have an antagonist and protanonist. There will be two sides. Neither side is good or evil.

In Escaflone the villain actully trys to create a utopia by granting every ones wish. He killed some people but those that live (Almsot every one) end up in a perfect world in his plan. Is sacrificeing your own life to make a perfect world evil?

This refrence may not help you but in M.S. Gundams series, the first anatgon ist is the group Zeon this is because everthing is from the otehr sides point of veiw. The second series takes place during the same war and at the exact same time but they have a new hero and this time he's on Zeons side agaisnt the federation who started off as the protanonist in the first series. A while latter you have anotehr series and the good guys in that one try to overthrow the earth federation who were the good guys in the first story.

Even more impressive is the set of "Good guys" in this story. The hero from the first story is one of the main charas but right next to him fighting for the same reasons is the villain from that same series. Mortal enemies united in a cause they both thought was good. Even further down the road anotehr war breaks out and those two find themselves on oposeing sides again.

You see the ebst drama dosen't use the idea of good Vs bad. They use the idea of people VS people. How often do you find villains in a story that are only trying to do the right thing?
