Casual Sex & One Night Stands

How common is casual sex? How about one night stands? This would be defined as someone you meet at a party and decide to go home OR someone you've only known a short time (1-2 weeks) and decide to sleep with.

I made it to marriage with only one. She wasn't that great.
But my definition of a one night stand is exactly that -- someone you meet, have sex with (within a short period of time) and never really speak to again.

Hmmmm.... I've had experience with both. Actually, most of the guys I date I sleep with after 1-2 weeks. The ones I don't, don't make it that far. I know within the first 10 minutes of a date if I want to sleep with that person or not. As for one night stands, I've had 2- both were while I was on vacation in Hawaii (2 separate vacations). Gosh, I sound like a slut!

and I agree with lilminx, I know within a few minutes or at the most an hour of meeting someone if I want to have sex with them..........doesn't mean I act impulsively or did act impulsively but it does stay in the mind ya know.

Hmmm.... I know I'm going to get yelled at by other members on the board, but safe for me is using a condom during sex. I don't give oral until i know the person better. I make sure I get tested for EVERYTHING every 6 months.

You won't get flamed or yelled at by me. I wrap the weasel and do get checked for EVERYTHING every 6-8 months also.....as for the oral portion............until I know someone good enough and until they know me, it will have to wait.

I think the oral sex is more about trust than anything else....
For example, I would be very unwilling to go down on someone that i just met, simply because I have no idea of who else has been there
Once I have a better idea of attitudes/partners, I would be much more accomodating....
