Okay last time I a situation came up that kept me from finishing the story.
This is essentially going to be starting Hacked: Bad luck in cyber space, all over again. The IC thread will be Upgrade: Virtually out of control.
Okay now the plot.
A new game has just come out using a virtual reality based on our own. The object of the game is to go around and make money to use the things you can't have in real life. Problem is among the beta testers was a group of hackers who now have power over those they hacked.
Okay players will be hacked, you have the options for a hacker in addition.
hackers can do the fallowing:
Change the appearance, clothing, gender, and pretty much any physical aspect of the hacked player, including voice. More advanced hackers can do more things, such as increase sensitivity, change likes and dislikes, and even push certain thoughts loosely into there mind.
hackers can't do the fallowing:
Take control of a character, a player always has final control of their body, so a hacker can't force them to throw coffee on some one or the like. Erase parts or pieces of the players memory or mind, so you can't blank a player and reprogram them or something.
Special hackers: Okay these hackers have more control, but require more writing skill to portray. If you want your hacker to be a more developed character you'll probably want one of these.
Herder's: The hackers wear special watches to talk to outside hacker buddies, they essentially have control over there characters appearance and stats, and nothing else. Fortunately they can call in favors. Keep in mind they are still hackable players.
Puppets: The guys can control computer generated characters, or NPCs. They can change there appearance, make them say certain things. So shop keepers, pets, police, and some random people on the streets can be made to do many things by them. NPCs: don't think, so really you can't alter there minds, and they really don't feel anything.
Housers: A certain places out of the publics view can be hacked into. Places like bedrooms, closets, stock rooms, tree houses, etc. The hacker could simply lock some one in a place, or he can completely redo the room, and say put a swimming pool in a tree house. The area hacked should be fairly small like the above examples, although once hacked can be the size of a football field.
Typically the first item hacked on a player is there ability to leave the game.
