OOC Casting Call: The Cthulhu Mythos
I need three more people.
For those of you unfamiliar with Cthulhu, allow me to take a moment to introduce you.
This is Cthulhu, a deity.

Explanantion: The Cthulhu Mythos is a series of stories, and were written and developed by H.P. Lovecraft, an early 20th century writer. The Cthulhu Mythos is basically about humanity's struggle to survive in a universe filled with insanity (insanity being a recurring theme). Cthulhu contributes a decent amount to the suffering of mankind.
Specifics
Time Period: 1923.
Setting: It will start out in one of those old country mansions that are so common in movies and books set in the early 20th century, but after that, it doesn't really matter. Just so long as things stay consistant.
Other Crap: It doesn't really matter to me what the other characters are like, as long as they're not too wierd (so no flying talking squids, for example).
Magic: Magic exsists and can be practiced by humans, but every time a spell is cast, the caster loses a bit of his sanity (the more powerful the spell, the more insane one gets). Once a body goes completly insane, it can't use magic anymore. If you aren't sure about the sanity loss from a certain spell, just ask OOC.
Magic can only be learned from certain books (the Necronomicon, for example). Studying these books grants the reader access to magic, but also causes the person to lose a bit of his hold on reality.
That's about it for rules. Any takers?
